Featuring one suite with sauna, steam room, and double spa tub as well as smaller hydrotherapy suites, a 30-treatment-room health spa offers massage, body wraps/ scrubs, facials, and hair/nail care. The resort offers 2,433 guestrooms in 16 three-story hacienda-style buildings divided between two sides (Sunrise, Nizuc and golf suites by the golf course) that include nearly identical facilities and amenities. Rooms feature balconies or enclosed ground-floor terraces furnished with chairs and hammocks that provide views of gardens or the Caribbean Sea. Bathrooms contain two-person walk-in showers and two-person jetted tubs. Liquor dispensers hold rum, brandy, Scotch, and tequila. Minibars contain bottled water, beer, and soft drinks.

Decor features dark wood furniture, including marbletop table and dresser; tan-marble floors with brown-marble accents; and white walls and ceilings.

The Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort is set along 1 km (0.75 mi) of beach, where lounge chairs offer sunbathing comfort and thatched-roof palapas provide shade. Each of the resort's two sides (Sunrise and Nizuc) includes an immense lagoon-style swimming pool measuring more than 200 meters (219 yards) wide that includes shallow areas for lounge chairs, jetted sections, and swim-up bars. Surrounding sundecks include palapas and toddlers' pools.

Use of kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats are part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Independent operators on the beach rent Jet Skis and offer parasailing and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions for surcharges.

Use of a championship-grade miniature golf course, six lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, and bicycles is part of the All-Inclusive Plan. Also complimentary are step aerobics, salsa aerobics, abs, firm-butt, and body-sculpting in the resort's two fitness centers and yoga classes in a meditation garden. Aerobics are offered in both of the resort's pools. A climbing tower is also on site.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the championship course at the the Moon Spa & Golf Club winds through mangrove forests. Amenities include a driving range, pro shop, and snack and beverage carts. Play on the golf course and use of facilities is not part of the All-Inclusive Plan but must be paid for separately. Golf carts are equipped with a GPS system. Greens fees include use of a cart. Clubs and shoes are available for rent. Instruction can be arranged for surcharges. The club also features an outdoor pool, two restaurants, and a bar.

Kids Free Summer 2012 Promotion

Book a stay now - August 27, 2012 for travel June 1 - August 31, 2012 and children ages 12 and stay, play, and eat free.

“Villarreal Cancun Holiday”

Every day was packed with activities that the hotel organized for maximum enjoyment of the whole experience by all family members. Depending on your mood, there was volleyball on the beach, dance-off in the lobby, karaoke at night, face painting for kids, shows at the Sunrise part of Moon Palace, etc. The meals were excellent and Nizuc had four eateries from which to choose. All of the excursions were incredible and provided amazing experiences and memories for the whole family. The staff was friendly, accomodating, and very adept at communicating in English.

“Felt Like Royalty”

I CAN'T BELIVE HOW THE STAFF TREATED YOU. I HAVE NEVER HAD THE TREATMENT OF ROYALTY FROM A RESORT. EVERYONE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON THEIR FACE. I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. FROM THE SERVICE TO THE FOOD EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THEY HAVE GREAT MIX DRINKS! EVERY DAY THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT HOUSE DRINK THAT WAS AWSOME! NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT WAS GREAT ALSO. EVERY NIGHT WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THE WHOLE PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN. EVEN THE BEACH. THEY HAD STAFF ROUND THE CLOCK DOING WHAT EVER NEEDED TO BE DONE TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE HAPPY AND SATISFIED. ALSO I LIKE HOW IT IS BY ITSELF AND NOT MIXED IN WITH OTHER HOTELS. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS RESORT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE TRAVELING BY THEIR SELF OR WITH CHILDREN. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE.

“MOST EXCELLENT SERVICE! ALREADY PLANNING A TRIP BACK TO MOON PALACE!!”

Everything was perfect!! The service at the Moon Palace is excellent!! Everyone is so friendly and there to help. The rooms are beautiful complete with a mini bar that have 4 bottles of liquor: tequila, whiskey, rum and vodka and they keep your refridgerator stocked daily with juices, soda, beer and bottled water. Everthing is so perfect! The pool is huge and the swim up bar is great..the restaraunts are ALL awesome and there is such variety. You can take a shuttle to the different lobbies and different palace resorts which was also neat. We went for a wedding and everything was so beautiful...the staff at Moon Palace are so polite, helpful and friendly- we laughed and joked with them as if they were family. I am so happy I chose Moon Palace and i will definetly be back again, i'm already planning my trip back!!!

“Loved it!”

My husband and I stayed at the Moon Palace for our 10th anniversary. It was absolutely beautiful. We spent most of the time just relaxing by the pool. The staff every where were amazing! Our favorite restaurant was the Mexican one on the Sunrise side. Our only problem was when we were checking in. They tried to give us a room with 2 double beds. The man at the front desk was insistant that there was no rooms with a king bed available even if we had requested a king. My husband was calm but very persistant and eventually we got a room with a king bed. Other than that, we loved the hotel and would recommend it!

“Perfect for 2nd Honeymoon”

WOW!!! Moon Palace exceeded out expectations. This was our 3rd All-inclusive. Moon Palace out performed the other two on rooms, location, service and definitely food & drinks. Resort is so big you never have to leave. If you want to a very private stay try the Golf Suites. Worth the money and very private. Staff is great though they had a hard time giving straight answers to simple questions. Since the resort is so large you may do lots of waiting for buses & golf carts...do what I did and always have a drink in your hands prior to getting on the bus or golf cart and the time will fly. Make sure to visit the Cancun Palace...the beach is worth the 20min trip into downtown. If you do not want to wait for the palace shuttle it is about a $45 round trip taxi ride from the Moon Palace. If you do not want to be bothered keep you phone off the hook. They call to follow up on everything...I mean everything...sometimes too early. I called to block calls and they called back to verify. They do a very good job at making sure their guest are happy. The only catch is the staff is more than happy to accept tips...sometimes we felt pressured...very different from the other all-inclusive we have stayed at. Despite this we will return...we already referred 2-families.

“Staying at Moon Palace was paradise!”

Our stay at Moon Palace was wonderful. The staff was so attentive and pleasant our entire stay. Moon Palace was recommended to us by several friends and we will definitely recommend it to others. We were a little disappointed in the beach but there were so many other things to do, it wasn't a problem. We did go to the beach at Cancun Palace and it was beautiful! We were treated like royalty our entire stay and will definitely return whenever possible.

“Lovely place to stay”

Moon palace was a lovely place to stay, a bit overwhelming at first due to its size but once you have your bearings it is great. Rooms - Excellent by far one of the best hotel rooms and facilities I have used. The kids loved the daily dip in their own pool (Whirlpool bath) Service - better than any i have experienced All inclusive - The only thing i feel that lets this resort down is the food. which is not bad it is just a victim of its own sucess in that it is catering for so many people which means the meals are slightly belwo the quality of the rest of the resort. Drinks etc though are fantastic, whatever you want in your room whenever and champagne with every meal what more can you ask. The best part of this though is the all inclusive tours which set this resort apart from the rest. Tours were good and well planned and you also got to see some other palace resorts which were just as fantastic Entertainment - Better than other all inclusives that I have stayed in and as usual the staff went out of their way to ensure a good time. All in all this is a good place for couples and families as well as the resort is big enough - you will need the free map to ensure everyone has plenty of space to enjoy their holiday no matter what they are looking for.

“Good Hotel for Family”

This was an outstanding hotel and they made every effort to make our stay comfortable. The food wasn't that great--and I think the drinks might have been watered down but that didn't really affect our stay.
