I loved it!

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Hey, leave your rich people attitude and you'll have a wonderful time. Bad things: No internet in the rooms, only near the pool and breakfast area. Good things: 15 min walk from where everything is going on. Breakfasts in front of the river. The staff is really nice, and yes they speak English (even if YOU should speak Spanish). It's so cheap for what they offer you there. So instead of wasting hundreds on fancy hotel where you're not gonna spend that much time and surrounded by tourists, u should go to a peaceful place like this. For those who understands, the weather is green over there, and the green is fire! Looool Jah bless

Good, quiet location

Posted 18-Feb-2015
We enjoyed the cleanness and great service but proper maintenance was lacking. Plenty of shower, hot water but lack of ventilation caused musty smells. Had refrigerator but no microwave or hot plate. Mattresses were too cheap.

Relaxing hotel close to the beach

Posted 9-Feb-2015
Pros: Relaxing location, clean rooms. Close to everything, beautiful grounds. Great staff at restaurant, front desk, maintenance and groundskeepers.
Cons: Coffee in the morning was not strong enough for me. Beds and pillows were a little too firm.
Location: Places to eat- their restaurant on property, Surfin Burrito, Pedrino's pizza right around the corner. Things to do- enjoyed beaches, Chichen Itza
Arrived and had no plan for transportation to hotel, although I had read that the bus system was terrific. We found an ADO bus and took it to downtown, from there you can take another bus to the hotel, but we opted for a cab (10 bucks). Bus system is very good and you can ride for only $1 per person. Check in was smooth, but upgraded our room as soon as we got there. We needed a bigger space. Very clean, grounds were kept up and the rest of the guests were friendly and quiet. Around the corner to the right is a great and cheap burrito and pizza place! Down the road a little further and across the street is the beach that you can access through any hotel. Public beaches and gorgeous!! We went on a tour of Chichen Itza and Cenote that was really good, especially swimming in the cenote. A very long day though, 8am-8pm. Spent the next couple of days at the beach, ate at Senor Frogs, we have small children and it was Superbowl Sunday so it was a bit crazier than usual, but food was good. Did a trip to Isla Mujeres with Sun Cruise- A VERY BIG MISTAKE!! WARNING!!!---boat ride was good, fun but as soon as we landed on the island, my cell phone was stolen where they had us eat-a true set up if I ever saw one! Plus we paid for a bike ride of the island and there were no bikes small enough for my 9 year old. I went to the manager of the tour, could care less, said not their problem. Rest of the trip was great as soon as we got back to Cancun.

Clima & Desayuno

Posted 5-Feb-2015
Pros: Esta en zona Hotelera
Cons: El desayuno
Clima hace mucho ruido tienes que apagarlo para poder dormir, el desayuno es mínimo lo que te dan, 2 rebanadas de Pan, un huevo y una taza de cafe, realmente comparando precio vs calidad no se puede esperar mas.

Don't go to Mexico to hang around in your hotel!

Posted 30-Jan-2015
Pros: The staff doing the breakfast were lovely. The pool was so nice, and the hotel's proximity to anywhere we wanted to go was great.
Cons: I understand that some of the rooms had poor showers and even some mold in the ceiling; this should definitely be attended to.
Location: It's fairly central. You need to walk 10-15 minutes to the main beach, but there is a smaller beach 5 minutes away. Bus to downtown is two blocks.
When staying in any hotel anywhere, I want to know I didn't pay too much, but I also want to feel safe, and have the basics (shower that works, basic cleanliness, comfortable bed, A/C, not too noisy, and most of all - POOL). I felt that the price here was great, and everyone was friendly. I met folks from lots of other countries, and the pool was wonderful. So was the view of the lagoon, where I drank good coffee and had breakfast each morning. We were close to a bus that went either direction - to the beach or to downtown, It was just a basic hotel that fit our needs, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

MAL HOTEL

Posted 20-Jan-2015
Pros: LIMPIEZA BUENA
Cons: HAY QUE HACER RECONSTRUCCIÓN GENERAL
Location: SITUADO SOBRA LAGUNA CON AGUA SUCIA Y OLOR FEO. NO ES LEJOS DE PLAYAS PUBLICAS, PERO NECESITO RENTAR UN AUTO PARA LOGRAR OTROS PUNTOS DE INTERES
MALAS HABITACIONES. SON VIEJOS, PAREDES Y TECHO AGRIETADO,SIN TELÉFONO, INTERNET NO FUNCIONA. APARTE EN MOMENTO DE APGRADE MI CUARTO A UNO DE "MEJOR CALIDAD" - ES PRÁCTICAMENTE SIMILAR- EL GERENTE QUERÍA MAS DINERO QUE MUESTRA LA TARIFA EN SU RECEPCIÓN.

Comfortable stay.

The hotel in its self was a great stay, it's location made it prime for all the activities I had scheduled during my stay. Only down side is when showering the water wouldn't go down the drain.

I wouldn't stay here again

Posted 20-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
There were building works going on throughout my stay on the road outside the hotel. This was very disruptive and made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The swimming pool and lounging area were smaller than expected. However, the staff were helpful and were able to book me on a tour to Chichen Itza and also ensured that a taxi collected me for an early morning flight.
