Cancun VacationPosted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: All of the staff was extremely accommodating always there to help you with whatever you may need. The rooms were clean and always kept up.
Cons: The food was not really that good. It was sometimes cold and not very tasty. The presentation could have been better as well.
Location: It was kind of confusing on where to go shopping or to go out to the night clubs. Not enough information was provided in order to make decisions.
Our experience was good. The room was clean and neat, the staff was very accommodating, the pool and beach area was amazing. Excursions were easy to book in the hotel. Transportation to go shopping or out at night was not very clear as to which was best way to get there o0r even where the best places were to go.

I expected to be a 5 stars qualityPosted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: The only thing I liked the most is that there is good WIFI everywhere in the hotel, even at the beach.
Cons: Should definitely have more variety of food. Most of the food at the hotel were "Americanized" Mexican food.
I stayed at this hotel for a week for a friend's wedding. Maybe my expectation is too high, but I have been to 5-stars hotel that were way better than this. There was not enough AC in the hotel, it was hot and humid. Only in the room that we can adjust AC to a comfortable level. The towels were not always clean. The soap and shampoo offered were very poor. The decoration of the food was nice but the taste was really just average. After 2 days eating in the resort, I had enough of it. We drove to a local Mexican restaurant and it was way better that the "Mexican" food offered in hotel It was hard to book a reservation for the special restaurant. There is nothing to do at the resort, almost any activity will cost over 100 USD. There is a nice pool, but you cannot swim after 9pm. The beach was beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and nice.

Beautiful resort, excellent servicePosted 9-Sep-2014
This was our first trip to Cancun and have nothing but great things to say about the Gran Caribe Real resort. The service was excellent, the food was good, and the all inclusive was the way to go. Would most likely recommend to friends and family if they are looking for a nice relaxing vacation.

Nice HotelPosted 8-Sep-2014
It's a nice hotel and perfect for family. The only thing is the food. They need more variety. After couple of days, we got tired of the food. Salty Mexican food everyday is too much!

Hotel Review of Gran Caribe Real Cancun MexicoPosted 5-Sep-2014
Pros: The ocean view was amazing as well as the distance from all the shopping centers and night clubs.
The Gran Caribe Real hotel overall is a good hotel yet it is not excellent there are a few things they need to work on immediately. Such as the cleanliness of the rooms, changing the bed sheets is a must which they do not do. Also there must be more variety in foods. Every morning was the same breakfast and nothing too brilliant. Overall our trip was great, my wife and I needed vacations. Xcaret never dissappoints as well as the other activities around were great.

Friendly staff, great beach, relaxed atmosphere!Posted 1-Sep-2014
Pros: Very grand and open main floor with lobby bar Clean friendly staff
Cons: Queen beds... Kid friendly snack bar with more choices or more variation
Location: Close to many water activities
For myself and my family, it's all about the beach...proximity, waves, cleanliness. Was not disappointed. The staff here were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Couldn't say enough nice things about them. All inclusive was very convenient with teenage boys. Drinks are weak but that was ok. Rooms were cleaned very well, the amount of sand the boys trekked in, I'm surprised they didn't have us removed! Ocean view was, as always, so worth it. Don't even think of a room without. Only caution...if a pitch is made to visit a sister hotel or resort...it is a push for timeshare so unless you are interested, politely decline....you may need to decline more than once but be firm. Bus is fine to take, IF you know where you are going. Did get lost in an area where no one spoke English but they did try to help. Take a taxi to be on the safe side. Buses drive like it's the Indy 5000 so hang on. Enjoy the sun but be religious about putting on sunscreen. The Aug sun is beautiful but unforgiving. Overall great time, will be back. PS. Don't forget the clothespins as one reviewer mentioned. We were constantly hanging our suits and t-shirts on the balcony...it's a vacation and this mother is not about laundry while in Mexico.
