Great place for families.

Posted 1-Apr-2015
Pros: I think the people working the restaurants and bar were extremely friendly! The rooms were clean. The food was excellent. Nice beach area.
Cons: Another adult pool would've been perfect. A few more cabanas by the pool would be nice too. Also the club membership shouldn't be so pushy!
Location: Some shopping is within walking distance. A lot of activities can be booked right at the hotel such as fishing, jet skiing, parasailing, etc.
Just about everything was perfect from our room with an ocean front view to the friendliness of the hotel staff. The beds were super comfy! The food was really good. The beach is very nice and clean. The downfall was that there is only one main adult pool. The pool itself is really nice but since it was spring break it did get a little crowded. They could use a few more cabanas too but if you get up early you can usually get one. Also if you are looking for a quiet peaceful vacation this is probably not for you because it tends to be pretty noisy starting around 10am and going until about 9pm. This is due to the activities going on for families. The music is pretty loud by the pool too and they play a lot of the same songs over and over. If you don't mind loud music it's okay. There is also a small pool for kids and a little waterpark too that would be fun if you had little ones. I would advise people not to fall into the spiel they offer about some deal, (supposedly a club membership but not a timeshare??) They will give you $700 pesos and a gift bag, we unfortunately fell for it and though it was supposed to last 1.5 hours it was over 2 when we finally told them we were done and then of course the person was a bit rude because we didn't want what they were offering. Other than that everyone else was super nice! Overall this is a really nice hotel and it is walking distance to shopping or for $1 you can take the bus to more shopping. This is a very safe area too

No stress, easy holiday destination

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: Staff, range of food, cleanliness of room, beach.
Cons: The water bottle so they give are small so you can go through half a dozen a day. Recycling is an issue as the plastic cups get used once the binned.
Location: Good beach, lots of sun lounges, waiters at the beach. Go to Xitchen Itsa which is a full day but worth it. The dip in Ill Kill at the end is cool.
If you want a good value all inclusive, then this is your hotel. $2,400 all in for 1 week in March 2015 for a couple. We got a quiet room, as some are right next to the lifts. Lots of food of good quality, several bars where you have lots of variety, albeit on brands you rarely hear of. The staff cannot be faulted as they really make an effort to care for you, are courteous and very welcoming. The entertainment isn't Broadway, however it's ok and there are many options available to you as the main road has hotels and other bars which are a quick $5 - $10 ride away. Relax in the sun, grab a cold drink and have a choice of good restaurants. There is a child friendly area and pool as well as watersports and a spa, which costs extra $120 for a couple massage. Enjoy!

great food and fun

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: The food was different every night ( a different theme) but also had some standby favorites for those who are a little more picky.
Cons: It was great for little ones and families but not as much for the teenagers.
Location: We took a ferry to the Isla Mujeres which was incredible. I highly recommend the sea turtle farm.
The resort was very nice and had a great pool for everyone and a wonderful area for younger ones. I wish there had been more to do (ie basketball court, tennis, etc) but there was not. We also really enjoyed the food. The restaurants had a large variety of food and could please anyone easily. The wait staff was superb.

Good food, nice service, but a few were not nice!!

Posted 27-Mar-2015
There are more than 5 main restaurants you can choose to eat. The food is pretty good, but some servers such as from GaV restaurant are not that nice. The beach is beautiful and the location is not far to the Island mujeres and downtown. The overall experience is good.
