“JUne 2011 Trip”

My family (parents and two 20+ daughters) spent a week at the Barcelo Tucancun hotel. We had a great time. The four restaurants, four bars, three pools, beach and theater made for a great time. We tried new foods and drinks (we were on the all inclusive plan) and enjoyed them. The staff was professional but friendly and helpful. The bellman (Luis Ramos) was most helpful all the time and esp. when our rental car would not start. We stayed in a villa that had two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms, a kitchen, dinning area and great room (facing the ocean) and a patio that we enjoyed laying on and reading. One of my daughters esp. enjoyed all the activities all day around the main pool. There is a good shopping center right across the street with very reasonable prices (at some of the shops) as well as high end shops.

We all loved it.......(3 parents and 2 teenagers).......I have never been so pleased with a hotel....It is a hotel that had service that went over and beyond to make us happy! The restraunts were great and the servers were great! The food was excellent.....even our picky eaters loved the food....The rooms were kept so clean!!! The pools are beautiful and clean, the ocean front is perfect and the beach is clean. The shows at the hotel were really entertaining..... All the employees were super great and we will be going back and telling our friends that the Barcelo Tucancun hotel is the best hotel in Cancun!!!!!!!! They all definetly are there enjoying there job to help the visitors love their vacation!

“Very good choice”

We went from researching destinations to leaving for Cancun in 36 hours - not a lot of time to research exhaustively, but more than enough time to second-guess yourself all the way to the front desk. The Barcelo Tucancun was a good value for the money, and it delivered as promised. The rooms were clean and attractive (though not spacious), and the (five?)restaurants had a variety of very good food. I have read other visitors complaining about the variety or quality of the food at their all-inclusive resorts. They must not have stayed at the Barcelo Tucancun. We had no complaints there whatsoever. One warning: when you read, "there is no beach," and you see photographs showing happy sunbathers, be aware that the photographs are old. A hurricane took out the beach, and the ocean usually beats against the seawall. When low tide does allow you to get into the water, the rocks and (I'm guessing) concrete chunks in the water will open your feet up in a flash. that problem is not isolated to the Barcelo Tucancun, and they offer several pools to make up for the lack of beach. It was worth the trip.

“Totally Impressed”

My husband and I had never been to Cancun and chose the hotel basically on blind draw. We went on previous reviews from Expedia customer's and Triple A. We are SO pleased we chose this hotel and to go to Cancun. We went with no expectations and came home with wonderful memories and would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Do prearrange for transportation to and from the hotel to the airport however. That was our only bump in the whole vacation. Go and enjoy Tucancun Beach!!!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this hotel! We cant wait to go back! we are recommending this hotel to all our friends and family! we were not sure what to expect with the hotel and it being an all inclusive but we were more than satisfied! see you next year!

The hotel was beautiful and the service was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The food was incredible also. This was the best vacation we have ever had!!!!!

“Can't wait t go back”

We had a wonderful time and would go back tomorrow. We only had one little glitch getting from the airport to the hotel, ( the taxi driver went to the wrong hotel) we checked in and had fun from then on. This hotel has a wonderful staff, very friendly and fun. I had read some reviews where people had problems with them being rude, we did not encounter that. It is not super fancy, but it is clean and in a perfect location. They have 3 pools one with a swim up bar, this one is geared to the fun group with music and games like water polo going on through out the day. The beach is very small but the water is gorgeous! Our two rooms were in the south tower over looking the pool and beach, Geat views and sounds from the beach. They were both very comfortable, the showers were spacious, the beds weren't great but they were fine for a week. There is a mall located just steps away with places to eat if you can't find what you're lookng for in the hotel. They have several restaurants in the hotel. All in all, a great time!

“Can't Wait to Go Back”

It was very Nice. The hotel Staff make you feel very welcome and safe. All inclusive is real. everyday All you can eat and drink, sometimes its nice to tip. You don't really need Peso's everyone takes american currency. Hotel is right on the beach and lots of activities to participate in. I'm definitely going back!! One problem was ants in our hotel but thats all the rooms were clean always and the water is very hot in the showers.

“CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!”

This was my first trip to Mexico & it was FANTASTIC! I was concerned about what to expect from the price of the Barcelo. If you are looking for a laid back hotel, the Barcelo is the place for you! We were there for a relaxing vacation & that is exactly what we receieved! No pushy sales people, no waiting to eat etc.. The activity pool was so fun, yet there are 2 other pools to choose from! The beach view from our balcony was breathtaking.. The restaurants had good food, sometimes a little bland but we tried everything! All evening meals, men must wear a short sleeve shirt! Reserved places must have pants for men & no sandals. We had ONE bartender at the lobby bar that was rude everytime he was there, other than that all employees were WONDERFUL! I recommend the Barcelo to everyone I know!! So, what are you waiting for?! The fun is waiting for you!

The hotel (Barcelo Tucancun)is very clean and friendly oriented. The hotel's employees go the extra mile to ensure your stay with them is as pleasant as one can image. I would definitely stay with them on my next trip to Cancun.
