Set in Cancún, this all-inclusive Cancún resort is in the hotel zone, 13.5 km (8 mi) from downtown. Adjacent is Plaza Kukulcán with shops and restaurants.
Provided at the resort are three outdoor pools (one with a children's section), a spa tub, a tennis court, daily activities by the pool and beach, and live nightly shows in a theater. In addition, guests may use complimentary kayaks, windsurfers, and pedal boats at AquaWorld marina (transportation not included in rate). Spa services are available for additional fees.
Dining includes buffet and à la carte options, while cocktails are served at poolside and lobby bars.
Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is provided resort-wide.

Recreation
The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for the Barcelo Tucancun Beach All Inclusive (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).
The resort offers three outdoor pools (one with a children's section), a spa tub, a daytime tennis court, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. Aqua-aerobics and introductory scuba-diving lessons (one per week) are included. Daily activities are held by the pool and beach, and live shows are presented nightly in the resort's theater. A Kids' Club welcomes children ages 4 to 12.
At AquaWorld marina, 2.5 km (1.5 mi) from the resort at Nichupté Lagoon, guests have complimentary use of kayaks, windsurfers, and pedal boats (transportation to and from the resort is not included in the room rate).

“Amazing Resort”
We can't wait to go back. All-inclusive package was definitely worth it..the hotel is kept very clean and staff are all very friendly. Mini-fridges are restocked everyday with beer, which is nice to take to the pools or beaches. At their bars, the drinks aren't made very strong, so order a shot with your drinks. Daily activities by the pool are very fun, and staff walk around with exotic animals for you to take a picture with. Very nice mall right across the street from the hotel, and another nice outdoor mall within walking distance of the hotel. Or if you dont feel like walking you can take a bus for a dollar. My advice about booking things with aquaworld is to do it earlier during your visit in case of high winds. We wanted to go snorkeling and booked it a day in advance and the next day it was too windy to go. Overall it was a great stay and we can't wait to go back!
“Relaxing Fun”
Hotel and staff were very nice. They really need to have more of a children's activity/pool area. The shows in the evening were very entertaining however, after 10:00 the sidewalks are pretty much rolled up unless you want to travel into town to one of the night clubs which they promote all day poolside. The timeshare sales people are absolutely infuriating at both the airport and the hotel. Not only are they persistent they are not at all honest with you about their true intentions. The restaurants were all very good and we ate at all of them. I believe Breakfast was my favorite. Although most mornings the buffet had similar selections, there were enough to have something different every day if you chose to. I would stay here again definitely..
“Relaxed Atmosphere. Great Staff!”
My sister and I took a long weekend get-away in February. Our idea of vacation is sitting my the pool/ocean with a book in hand, iPod on, then spend the evening lounging, having a few drinks, hanging out with fun people. Barcelo Tucancun was PERFECT for that! The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and we felt we could just be ourselves and have a great time. The room was clean and good enough for the time spent there (sleeping!). The drinks were great, bartenders were even better, and the pool staff was so much fun! I will definitely be going back...what a great price!

“Best Vacation”
This hotel is great. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the first minute. We arrived 3 hours before check-in and they took care of our bags and told us to go eat lunch and relax. The food was good and the reservation system is very easy. The servers are great, especially if you give them a small tip... The bartenders are great and they do a good job keeping up with everyone... The pools and beach areas are nice and clean and the ocean was great fun... There is a lifeguard stand right in front of the hotel, so feel comfortable going into the ocean...The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioner works great. We had no problems with the cleaning service and we always had clean towels... This was one of our most relaxing vacations and if we go back to Cancun we will stay here again.

“Great Choice”
Experience with the hotel was great. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Hotel was clean, pool was clean and beach was great. Only complaint was that the beds and pillows were extremely hard. Would still go back!!
“Enjoyable Stay”
When I first walked in I was so happy that I chose this place. Enjoyed my stay completely. I just got back today from Cancun and Cancun is beautiful. Loved DOn quitoje and Mexico Lindo restaurants. The only thing that annoyed me with Cancun is everybody wants a tip. Everything is tip,tip,tip and that was driving me crazy. Our room was an ocean view so that was really nice. As far as cleaning our room, we would have to call downstairs to get is cleaned because the cleaning lady would forget. All in all for the price and what you get it is well worth it. And it really is a nice hotel.
“Best Hotel in Cancun”
I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel because it was just a 2 star but everything about it was great. When we got there, everyone wanted to help you and answer all your questions. Our room was clean and we had an amazing view of the ocean and the pools from our room. All the nightlife, malls and flea markets are just a 5 minute bus ride away plus there is a mall right across the street from the hotel. This is probably the best hotel in Cancun for the money.
