“Comfortable hotel, great area”
2 bedroom unit with lounge and separate bathroom so all can use it easily. Nice kitchen, although 2 pots and no frying pan, roasting pan for use in the oven was a bit surprising. Great restaurants. cafes and shops within walking distance.
“would recommend”
very clean, spacious, comfortable, pleasant, walking distance to eateries, great price very central evrything A OK
“tv problem”
The TV in the room was not working--the connection to cable was broken and the TV would not switch on. For the price, this is unacceptable
“Will return”
The hotel filled our needs well. The staff were friendly and courteous.
“a disappointing experience”
The curtain in the bathroom was torn. The bottom sheet covering the mattress was not long enough, therefore our feet were tangled in the mattress protectors.
“Poor value for money, spend a bit extra and get something nicer.”
Not the worst place I have stayed but the most expensive of the worst places I have stayed. Overall disappointing from a business travelers POV but if sightseeing all day with the family it should do just alright although pricey. The entrance was tricky to find as the signage is so small that if you blink you will miss it. Fitting into the tight carpark is tricky and you risk the chance of damaging your car against the pillers or other cars trying to get in & out. The front desk manager was nice although she didn't explain the weird room numbering system where all the rooms start with a '1' (126,127...157) whether on the 1st or 3rd floor. My room was furthest away from the lift on the third floor in a half filled hotel. I don't mind the exercise so... The hotel and gardens look good outside but inside is a different story. The carpet is about $2 short of being artificial turf, the sofa was rock hard and the TV was miniscule and unwatchable from the sofa and the remote was taped together. The kitchen setup was good with everything you need for a lengthy family visit. The 'king size' bed was actually two rock hard singles with a zipper running down the middle on top. The bathroom was huge but taking a shower was awkward in the triangle spa due to the placement of the showerhead and the water just trickled out. Grout was missing from tiles and a poor sealing job all round. Can't understand why prices are so high in ACT or how places like this are still in business. Also Rex=Bad!
