Beautiful property next to the old city gate - we enjoyed an impromptu concert from the top of the city wall (while on the roof of the hotel!). Pool was awesome (but the water a little cold!). No gym sadly and no breakfast included. Tons of character, but definitely on the pricey side.

This is a beautiful hotel combining several old houses in very architecturally imaginative ways (the pool winds between the walls of old houses set in an interior garden). The staff was helpful and attentive. It's the perfect retreat.

This is a beautiful property with very nice staff. I think the garden area around the pool can be improved and cleaned up, even used for guest seating. Overall this is an amazing place to stay and the food is delicious.

Hotel badly needs to freshen up. Lighting is poor. No courtesy coffee in the rooom. Limited tv channels. Did not have ESPN to watch the nfl. Bathroom water pressure not stable. Kitchen menu is to be upgraded.

Beautiful historic property, an old hacienda in the Centro. Well situated closed by to restaurants and bars but far enough to be quiet. The only draw back was the quality of the front desk service and at breakfast. There was a bar but not staffed. It is listed as a Luxury Hotel but it lacks the right amenities and service. Rooms and communal spaces were spotless though and the pool was a pleasant retrieve from the heat of the day. I would come back

Loved this hacienda!
We have now stayed at all five haciendas in Mexico under this “Luxury Collection” umbrella: Santa Rosa, San Jose, Temozon, Uayamon, and Campeche and this was my second favorite! The staff was very accommodating with giving us two room options for our family of 5 and even walked with me and my baby and an umbrella to the room when it was pouring down. The food was great and I loved the hotel itself - so beautiful.

Great unique stay. I'd probably just add that the pool service can be improved and that they were a lot of people even though COVID (might make sense for the hotel to avoid opening to non guests for a bit). But as always it's a great stay in the Hacienda.

Great place, but needs improvement
The local and the hotel itself was fantastic. The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and the place was stunning. A few issues: the roof garden was not open and the food was lacking in the variety, value and quality one would hope for in a 5-star accommodation. Additionally, the space did not offer some of the modern amenities that are standard at this price point - no gym, no minibar, dated iPhone dock, no in-room coffee, & no hairdryer. Likewise, for the area, the price was not particularly competitive, especially considering the lack of in-room amenities you'd expect from a luxury brand.

Very unique property
This is a very unique hotel in an excellent location within the fortified walls of the old town of Campeche. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Would definitely stay here again. It’s a special place.

The staff was amazing and service went above and beyond what one is used to in a hotel: private dining on a rooftop terrace with a city view; special breakfast super early before a departing flight ... an upgrade to a private suite. Just amazing.

The hotel is unique and beautifully located! The room spacious and perfectly decorated, with great bed. Pool area is fantastic and the food delicious. The staff is amazing and friendly and make you feel welcome all the time. Definitely one of the best hotels in Mexico and would repeat experience in a heartbeat.

This is a an exceptional property and a wonderful place to stay! Restaurant had good food and great service. Our room was large and well appointed. Staff was friendly and professional. Would return in a heartbeat.

Wonderful place to stay! The pool was so much fun and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks over the pool - truly a unique property. If you're driving, make sure to note the one-way streets (Google) and the fact that Calle 59 is pedestrian only except in the last block in which the hotel is located.

Here are the pros: location is great, next to Puerta de Tierra (Land Gate), a historical landmark where they perform "Pirate" shows at night. The building is really old and well appointed with careful details of the reworks including the pool located in the ruins of the old Hacienda rooms. The cons: extremely noisy room (no. 14) because of VERY OLD mini Split air conditioners. I cannot understand how can they call themselves a 5 star hotel with such old equipment, besides we could also hear the A/C from the room next door and also some sort of wáter pump. We asked for another room but the hotel was fully booked and we were offered "free breakfast" to compensate. ABout the restaurant, the food was overpriced with a plain taste. You better go to Marganzo's a couple of blocks away for good food. I would recommend the hotel for the location but nothing else. Deffinitely not a 5 star hotel.

Although this place advertizes as luxury, and some of the features are high end (marble, large rooms, nice bed, architecture) basics are seriously wanting. The pool floor and walls are covered with mold or mildew; you can see where it is scraped off where people enter or rub against the sides. Sometimes the water in the bathroom stops altogether; when management is notified, they fix it, but offer no apology. It takes several minutes for the hot water to come out hot. The sink and shower do not drain well, making the shower floor very slippery. The room smells like insecticide, and, indeed, there is a complimentary can of Raid and insect repellant spray. Toiletries are supplied in cute jars, but not sealed. Do they simply top up the contents (shampoo, lotion, etc.) between guests? In one of the rooms of our large party there were mouse (or large insect) droppings on the floor, The waiters in the restaurant (food is OK) do not supply napkins unless asked, at every meal. Coffee mate is served with coffee; you have to ask for milk, every time. The have a bar, but no proper bartender; they only know how to make drinks from a mix or ready-made. The state/city charge a very high room tax (over $100/night); I was told that this was included in my pre-paid room fee, but, when I checked out, I was charged over $500.00 for four nights. The manager speaks poor English, cannot make herself understood; all the guests are American. They have a guest computer, but it is not hooked up to a printer. This is a two star hotel in a five star wrapper.

Great stay in Campeche
Although they include "luxury" in the description of the resort, we were skeptical before checking in having stayed at other colonial hotels in the city. However, it was beautiful -- true to its hacienda roots with a decorative pool (complete with hammocks), rooftop restaurant, and intimate service. It is more pricey than other hotels in Campeche city, but that's because it's much better. The location is great for enjoying this coastal, historic town. Enjoy your stay!

An incredibly romantic hotel in the middle of the action. As Starwood Gold Preferred Club members we were upgraded to a sensational room for our two nights stay. Cute swimming pool in a unique setting. Superb attention from the staff. Campeche is a jewel to visit and enjoy. Excellent fish restaurants.

Very nice hotel, expensive, well mantained. Room full of mosquitoes... Great breakfast! Would recomend if it was not that expensive. They have to do something about so many mosquitoes in the room. Could not sleep because of that. Internet was not working
