“Great view, great room, great value, great staff!”
We arrived late and the person at the front desk was very friendly. We found our room to be clean and more than what we expected for the price. In the morning we discovered we had a water view. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent and had a nice selection and everything was so clean. If we go back to Campbell River we will definitely be staying there again.

“Better than a three star”
The Campbell River Travelodge is conveniently located on the old island highway. The rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter as they don't get the highway noise but they lack the water view. I didn't try out the pool but it looked good and others were using it and seemed to be enjoying themselves. All and all a good deal.
“Fairly good, few minor issues.”
cons: The pool's deep end is 4.5 feet high and the pool is not long enough to do laps, so if you plan on using it for exercise then I'd book another one, unless you don't mind doing flip turns every few seconds. The hot tub/jacuzzi was fine enough though. If you plan on moving double beds around in the room to accomodate a particular purpose such as stopping a baby from rolling off the bed or trying to accomodate for lack of a queen room, think again the bottom matress is fixed to the floor somehow. Pros: They have several wifi access points which is great since if you are in a room at the far end of the building you can still pick one with a good signal. The continental breakfast was pretty decent, muffins, bagels, several different kinds of cereal, milk, juice, tea, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal and fresh fruit.

The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable, not fancy, but nonethe less a nice room complete with microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge. Our room faced the ocean, and it was very quiet. We did not have an opportunity to use the pool and hot tub, but they looked very well maintained and inviting.

The room was very clean all employee's where greatly helpful. We were in from out of town and in need of direction and anyone we spoke to were more than helpful.

We knew this was going to be an older and less starred hotel but as this was all that was available we took it. It was older and has definately seen better days but that being said, we were pleasantly surprised about some aspects of this hotel. It was very clean and well maintained considering the age of the carpet and furniture and linens (and everything else) in the room and the hotel. The beds were OK....not great but adequate. We probably wouldn't stay again but would recommend it to anyone that wants an inexpensive room that is basic and clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the location is overlooking the ocean and right across the road from a wonderful paved seawalk.

Rooms are simple, withn older decor but clean and serviceable. Decent pool and hot tub. Nice complimentary continental breakfast - cereal, pastries, bagels, toast, etc.
“Give it a Miss!”
Bedding awful-yellow, and blanket torn and had cigarette burns on it! Carpet also had cigarette burns on it. Room badly in need of refurbishment!
