“More than pleasant surprise”
We had just returned from Tofino and several days of hiking on the west coast and arrived in our muddy outdoor gear at the front desk. Picking hotels on line does not always give you what you expected. Well the Kingfisher did way more than meet expectations. In fact, I had no idea that they had such a wonderful spa and I immediately made an appointment for the Hydropath. Most marvelous spa experience ever! Our room was very well appointed, the hotel grounds are lovely, and our breakfasts in their dining room were excellent with healthy, tasty options as well as the usual eggy breakfast choices. We also had 1 dinner there and that was excellent as well. I remember thinking that if I lived anywhere near, I would love to hang out at Kingfisher with some girlfriends for a few days...
“excellent!”
my wife and I went up for our first year anniversary. We were delighted with the awesome spa experience. The couples massage was very relaxing. The quality of the west coast seafood was top notch and made for a lovely meal at the restaurant. The backdrop is also breathtaking and made for a memorable stay.
“Backpackers romatic retreat”
We arrived at the Kingfisher after spending three days backpacking in Strathcona Provincial Park. Quiet a contrast to our tent living! The reception desk staff were very helpful and courteous, even though we were a bit ripe having not showered in days. When I asked if we could upgrade to an ocean front suite, they located a LOVELY QUIET room for us. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant, followed by a walk on the beach front. It was a wonderful, romatic stay. My only regret was we could only stay one night (and we didn't visit the spa).
“Excellent service, comfort, and facility. Topnotch”
Stayed in a waterfront suite and had a wonderful view of the ocean and the beach. We all used the hot-tub and pool after a full day of skiing at the nearby mountain and loved the facilities. The only thing that could be improved is the moss on the roof visible from the restaurant.
“Excellent Spa Experience”
Great value for money, beautiful location and a good restaurant.
“The Kingfisher is beautiful!”
I wish people were not allowed to smoke on the balcony of the room. Even though the room we stayed in was non-smoking, we constantly smelled smoke from the neighboring rooms. I don't consider the rooms non-smoking for this reason. Plus you need to keep you balcony door open because of the lack of air conditioning! Designate a block of rooms for smoking either in the rooms or on the balcony. It really was annoying and hard on the allergies!
“A Fair Hotel Experience”
Nice staff, room decor was more like a motel like than resort and spa, The room was quite pokey, My kids were not impressed nice touch though was the counter top facilities and microwave for those with small children or on a budget. Note the pool has restricted hours for children which isnt stated on Expedia. The upper floor which has a nice view has a flight of stairs, so not for disabled. The restaurant was quite nice with good sized portions , didnt have space for dessert. About an hours drive to Mount Washington
