“Clean and No Fuss.”

Guest House was clean and laid back. No fuss owners. Indian Curry House across the road was great value and good food. Location is fine but not close to any town amenities other than the curry house and Cambridge Park and Ride. Breakfast great and owner loves his 'steamed eggs'.

“A most enjoyable stay.”

Well located with only around a two mile drive to the park and ride service into Cambridge which alleviated the necessity of locating and paying for expensive parking. Hosts were very helpful with information and suggestions. Plenty of off-street parking and a couple of restaurants and pubs are within a quick drive or easy walk. The fresh eggs from their hens added an eggstra element to the bountiful breakfast provided!!!

“A very pleasant stay”

We were visiting Cambridge because our son had a college interview. We needed a place to stay at fairly short notice and I do not think I could have chosen abetter place to stay if I had consulted all the hotels, b/bs etc. in the city. The location was perfect for the Park & Ride, it is easy to find, the room was spacious, well equipped and in good order, the breakfast was just the right size and beautifully cooked and Paul, the manager was extremely helpful. I suppose the best compliment I can give the Silverwood Lodge is that if we visit Cambridge again this is where we will stay.

“handy spot for cambridge visits”

stayed here for 2 nights while visiting this very interesting city. Silverwood in good location, while out a bit from the city excellent access to local park and ride which takes the hassle out of finding parking in the city itself. Rooms very clean, good breakfast, friendly and helpful owner. Some traffic noise from main road outside but not a problem later on in night depends what sort of a sleeper you are. Would stay here again.

“Mostly great but some issues”

The owners are very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was charming, clean on arrival and comfortable, although the bathroom door was a little close to the bed. The breakfast was also good. However, we were extremely surprised on returning after a day out for our second night to find that the room had not been serviced. Even in a guest house, while I don't expect the sheets to be changed, I do expect the bed to be made and the bathroom cleaned. Some shampoo would also have been helpful in addition to the shower gel. So, a good stay but could have been better.

“Good, comfortable, reasonable base for Cambridge”

Paul made us very welcome.The lodge is very convenient for the "Park and Ride" for Cambridge, which is free if you have a bus pass! We stayed in one of the 3 "garden rooms" which was very comfortable, but because it is entered directly from outside could be inconvenient in bad weather, for getting to the breakfast room. The breakfast was good traditional English fayre. However the breakfast room cannot seat all guests at the same time if the lodge is full, but there is a pleasant waiting area. Would definitely stay there again when visiting the area.

“Un endroit très acueillant”

Chambre confortable, salle de bain très propre. Chambre familiale grande et bien agencée. L'accueil est très agréable, la personne qui sert le petit déjeuner est très professionnelle et gentille. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Le lodge est un peu éloigné de Cambridge (15 mns) mais il est facile de laisser sa voiture au "parc and ride" à 5 minutes et de prendre le bus, c'est d'ailleurs mieux que d'aller à Cambridge en voiture (dfficile de se garer). Le seul point négatif de l'endroit est la proximité de la route (un peu bruyant) mais la nuit il n'y a pas de circulation. A recommander pour le rapport qualité / prix
