“best kept secret on Mallorca”

We got a package for flight, transport to and from airport, fabulous breakfast buffet and 3 nights for an amazing price! Away from city center but on the bus line and only 10-15 minutes away. Every room had a water view. The service was gracious and immediate. Clean, comfortable, many places to hide out and read or take the sun. Pool bar, restaurant, cafeteria, outside tables plentiful. Staff helped to plan bus excursions around the island. We did not want to leave!

“The Perfect Break”

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and we have recommended to family and friends who have also stayed. It is a fresh, bright and very clean hotel. We always stay in the rooms that face the private beach and you can hear the waves gently hitting the rocks and beach as you lay in your bed at night with the balcony door open. The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for us, as bus stops and taxis are with in easy walking distance, making travelling Palma, Palma Nova or the airport very to get to. There are also classy bars and restaurants again with easy walking distance.

Nice sea view from your room, easy access to bus station andonly 10/12 km to Palma city. I recommend this place to anyone that has kids/family and want to stay close to a big city...

“Excellent cheap break”

Hotel was a real bargain. We had a balcony and were only on 3rd floor so we could hear the sea as well as see it. Room was clean. Had a small empty fridge that we could use or ask them to fill. The pool was small but adequate. It was possibe to get down the rocks to swim in the sea. No beach there but that didn't matter to us. No rowdy people at hotel, just one thoughless person playing an MP3 a little too loudly on the rocks nearby. For breakfast there were 3 types of fresh fruit each day, a variety of breads. Eggs, bacon, tomatoes. Helpful staff. Would certainly be happy to go back for a cheap break.

“Hotel Europe playa marina à Illetas,Majorque”

Je rentre juste d'un séjour de 12 jours au Europe Playa Marina à Illetas. Hôtel très propre,bien entretenu,au calme sans être isolé. -Bus à 50m pour aller à Palma. -Une petite crique avec solarium pour se baigner,sinon la plage de Illetas est à 500m. -Chambre petite,mais avec tout le confort (clim,télé et frigo bar) et décoration mexicaine. Coffre payant, dommage pour un 4 étoiles.Balcon agréable avec vue splendide sur la mer ! -Piscine profonde ,petite mais très propre,nettoyée chaque jour. Il y a un gros effort à faire sur la restauration : -Le petit-déj est correct, complet mais sans fantaisie.Les jus de fruit sont purement chimiques,les croissants et autres gateaux sont de qualité industrielle.Café assez bon et présence de fruits frais. Les horaires pour le petit-dej sont inadaptés : 8h-10h;lève-tôt s'abstenir ! -Les diners sont très répétitifs,il n'y a aucun effort dans la présentation des plats,donc peu appétissants.Beaucoup de plats industriels (purée mousseline) ,légumes sortis des conserves ou surgelés. Beaucoup de fruits par contre au dessert,les gateaux sont aussi industriels. Hôtel triste le soir :aucune musique d'ambiance,le bar de la piscine est fermé,il y a des salons,mais tous fermés,à quoi servent le piano et le podium d'animation? Le wi-fi est gratuit dans le hall. Hall triste,peu éclairé le soir,alors que les hôtels alentour sont illuminés! En résumé,bon rapport qualité-prix,bien pour les personnes qui recherchent le repos.

“Europe playa marina”

- La situation : bon compromis, être un peu à l'écart et proche de Palma et des transports en même temps. Cadre paradisiaque, mer/piscine/plage, très agréable. Attention passé 18h l'hotel est à l'ombre. - L'accueil et relation publique : point négatif, à l'arrivé, personne ne parlait français, on a eu le sentiment de déranger la femme à l'accueil car on lui demandait de répété, ça l'énervait, enfin bon. Le personnel d'entretient est très agréable, mais au restaurant, on a qu'une chance sur 2 de tomber sur quelqu'un de souriant. - La propreté/confort : Rien à redire sur la propreté, hotel confortable, mais les lits sont "a ressort" Mais c'est un très joli hôtel quand même, qui mérite amplement les 3 premières de ses 4 étoiles..

“Not a 4 Star Hotel”

Upon arriving at the hotel, our first impressions were that it is a traditional Mallorcan hotel with a Spanish decor - dark paint and walls in contrast to the light and more minimalist style of many hotels in UK and abroad. The hotel was clean and our room was basic but fairly comfortable. Beds were OK although pillows lumpy and they desperately need some new towels as they were thin and grey. Air conditioning in the bedroom was efficient but too noisy to keep on when going to sleep. We were glad that we were only staying on a breakfast only basis. The food was plentiful but not of good quality. The meat, cheese and pastries looked unappealing and did not taste any better than they looked. The dining room is drab and in need of a refurb. The dining room staff were often surly, did not greet us as we came in and there were very few smiles. The balcony has limited tables where we had breakfast and both this and the pool area are very pleasant and have a good view of the bay. Had to be up at 7am though to ensure we got a sun lounger! The hotel is in a good position on the bay and is a short walk to the beach where there is a Beach Club with bars and food. There are also some good bars and small shops in Illetas. The bus to Palma stopped almost outside the hotel and this is a very frequent and cheap service - although you need to be prepared to stand at busy periods. In summary this hotel represented average value for money but is more like 3 star hotel than 4 star.

“Disappointed Break”

The Hotel Europe Playa Marina is in a lovely location with beautiful sea views, however it lacks many facilities. It is a very quiet hotel catering for Spanish and other nationalities with very few, if any, English guests. Consequently, it lacks certain facilities found at other 'holiday hotels' such as a snack bar for lunch and evening entertainment. It is virtually dead all day and evening. Illetas is an attractive small urbanisation, but it also lacks a choice of restaurants; we found only 2 Spanish ones and Sorrentos which is run by a pleasant English guy who cooks to order, but the only entertainment there is a wide screen TV which is on permanently - rather like sitting in someone's front room! You can catch a bus into Palma every 10 mins which is a God send for Euro1.25. Overall, I can recommend the cleanliness of the hotel and the well appointed rooms,but breakfast was very disappointing; none of the waiters spoke English and all ignored us and the food, especially that on the griddle, was unappetizing and congealed. OK for a cheap weekend break if you aren't fussed about eating!

“Great short break”

2 hour flight from Gatwick, 20mins in a cab to hotel door. More a good 3* hotel Small pool with access to some very nice sea front views Food is good, standard buffet, with lunch time snacks, strict serving hours. Small bar for post dinner drinks Free internet access, but decent connection from hotel lobby only. Some really nice, no fuss local restaurants serving great food. Fantastic outdoor BBQ only 200m away Some very nice 4* & 5* hotels situated just down the road, serving evening meals and drinks. a really enjoyable 5 day short break.
