“Can't wait to go back!”

This is a great hotel in the charming town of Caen--the staff, food and room were all excellent. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in/near Caen, France.

“Great price, great hotel”

I would highly recommend the Kyriad-Caen Centre. It is in a great location, very clean, spacious rooms, good view, and the hotel staff is extremely helpful. I would definitely stay at the Kyriad in the future.

“Explore Normandy in Day Trips from this Caen Hotel”

Excellent choice in a central location for visiting the cities, towns, coastline, and historic sites in Normandy, France. Since I have been taking French lessons (still very beginner) I was able to try out some basic french conversation with the manager. He was gracious about talking to me in French (I think I understood most of what he said) and not switching to English. This made the stay more authentic. The rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean and my wife and I had a good rest for the 3 night stay. The shower is of the type that causes the bathroom floor to get a bit wet as often happens with hotels in European cities. Parking in the pay lot across the street (8/day) was not a problem and we also could walk to the shops, the castle, boulangeries/pattiseries (also a pleasure!) and great restaurants in minutes.

“Over 60 and traveling....”

Best deal in Caen! The gentleman that runs the hotel not only speaks English, but goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Need a local restaurant, ask! Need some sights to see for free, ask! Need directons around town, tram information, bus information, just ask. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Breakfast buffet available and a small service bar is in the lobby. This is a great hotel for the older traveling couple.

“Great French Value”

Perfect quaint French hotel! The clerk spoke good English and was very accomodating. The room had a tiny balcony, but perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the street action below. There was a restaurant with sidewalk cafe below our hotel also full of action. Plenty of places to eat within walking. Great bathroom-very Americanized. Clerk helped up get cab as well as instruct us to bus line to catch bus to go to the Memorial. Would certainly recommend this hotel!

“Good value, excellent service”

The room was small by US standards, but quite satisfactory for the traveler. The breakfast buffet (incuded in price) was much better than the standard ones in 2-3 star hotels in the US. Good value for the $$. We were particularly impressed with the service at the front desk. VERY helpful to the traveler. I must say, it ranks near or at the top! Overall, great value for the $$ !
