“Very Helpful”
The hotel was up the hill, away from the center of Caen, but within walking distance of the train station. The hospitalitly of the staff, and a very clean, comfortable, (but small) room made it worth the uphill walk. They were very patient with my awful French, and helpful with requests and advice.
“Cheap, clean and friendly staff”
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was basic enough but had all the modern convinences. Breakfast is included and is great. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you directly to the main tain and bus station which is also within walking distance. A transfer ticket is only €1.25 and lasts up a hour.
“Great little hotel just with free Wi-fi”
Free Wi-fi and parking lot. If you have a car and don't want to stay in downtown Caen, then this is a good place. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the chateau which is in the city center. There are many great restaurants around the Vaugueux street just east of the chateau.
“Acceptable for an overnight stay.”
This is a very modestly-priced hotel and therefore acceptable for an overnight stay; the room was small, though clean. Likewise, the restaurant served rustic, but tasty food.

Caen, France: In 1944, roughly 80 percent of Caen was destroyed during the Battle of Normandy. Rebuilt during subsequent decades, the city is now mostly modern in character. However, some important historical landmarks remain, such as Château de Caen (one of the largest medieval castles in Europe), and the Womens Abbey and Mens Abby, built by William the Conqueror in 1060 and 1063.
