MacLeod Trail is a major thoroughfare extending from downtown to Calgarys south side. It is named after Col. James MacLeod, one of the Calgarys founders. The road passes by Calgarys City Hall, Olympic Plaza, the Calgary Public Library, and the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts. Heritage Park, southwest of downtown Calgary, is Canadas largest living historical village.
