spring conference

Posted 14-Apr-2014
I was there for a conference. the hotel was close to the airport, provided a shuttle, which I found out was free when I used it, a nice surprise. all areas of the hotel that I was in were very clean and any of the staff I had contact with were friendly and helpfull. my stay was short but very pleasant and I would not hesitate to stay again. the only drawback I found was when I booked rooms for the group I was in, I could not hold the reservation with my credit card. I had to pay for them at the time of booking. usually I have been able to hold the rooms and each of us attending would pay at time of check out.

Close to Airport

Posted 21-Mar-2014
Pros: location
Cons: condition of property but I guess they will do this under the new brand
Location: close to airport
Newly changed over to Radisson, no signs yet so cab driver spent time driving in circles looking for the place. room was clean, old windows all fogged up and the bathroom could use some updating.

Misleading information

Posted 12-Mar-2014
On arrival in Calgary no one had heard of the Ramada Plaza Calgary Airport Hotel. 411 had no record of a Ramada at that address. After a $ 40.00 taxi ride we learned that the hotel used to be called Greenwood. Apparently it was on the Shuttle board as Greenwood.and the internet access was listed as Greenwood. I don't know how long it has bee a Ramada but I would think they would be sure telephone and Shuttle info was up to date before advertising as a Ramada hotel. There was no mention of Greenwood on your site, perhaps you can update your listing and advise that it may be listed as Greenwood. We've never had problems with Expedia in the past. But over $200.00 for an overnight stay is a little much. Lance G. Heald

Comfy

Nice hotel. Seems to be undergoing a makeover. The room comes with a coffee maker and convenient to-go coffee cups, which is great. Not noisy at all. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful

Hotel & Conference

Posted 3-Mar-2014
Pros: The food was really good. The internet was fast and reliable which made working there easy. The room and facilities were clean.
The hotel was pleasant and clean. The gym facility was quite typical, but didn't have sanitizer to clean the machines which was a little concerning. I ate at the restaurant for breakfasts and they also catered our lunch -- the food was very good.
