“Romantic Get-Away”

We felt like Royalty in their spacious, King-Size Bed room, complete with a balcony, seating area, dining area, and huge nice kitchen/office combo area. Incredibly friendly service, clean rooms, and easy to find for out-of-towners. Also, with the money we saved with free downtown parking, a huge free continental breakfast, and a discount on the room (all courtesy of Expedia) we got our room for a fantastic price.

“Old Reliable”

The International Hotel has been around longer than some others, but it's been renovated and is a great place to stay. It's not a room, but a suite for less money than proximate hotels with smaller rooms. I used the basement gym every day, and when I realized I forgot my toiletries at home, they had a good selection in the store. If your business is downtown it's a great location, also close to restaurants and stores. The staff is very helpful, as well.

“Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!”

Other than the small lobby renovation which was being completed I had absolutely no complaints with this hotel. Even the reno did not really affect me in the least. Loved my room and the friendly hotel staff. Also loved the location with absolutely anything I needed within walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others.

“Perfect for quick in and out trips to Calgary”

Free parking in parkade is great to get! Room spacious for the price (king bed, sitting area and kitchenette w/table and chairs). I dont think the tv allows you to rent movies though.

“Would definitely go back”

Very satisfied with the room. Very spacious. Our room was right beside the elevator, and it was a bit noisy at times; would ask for a different room next time. Very friendly staff. Fruit at the breakfast that was included with the price of the room was delicious. Parking (which was included with the cost of the room through expedia) was right beside the hotel and very convient to access. They also have an underground parking lot, but we had a truck so we had to use the outdoor lot. The Keg restaurant is only a block away.

“I love this Hotel”

Staff are always friendly and professional. I like the added security of having to swipe your room key before the elevators move. Rooms are huge... Flat Screens are great. Beds are very comfortable on my bad back.

“A wonderful stay in Calgary”

Our most recent visit to Calgary was our most enjoyable and comfortable yet, in terms of our hotel accommodation. Our suite was extremely spacious and well-equipped, boasting a large table, easy chairs plus a sofa, kitchen facilities and two flat screen TVs. Most important, there was ample lighting throughout, including both sides of the king size bed. Service at all times was courteous and efficient. We had breakfast in the hotel's cafe each morning and were completely satisfied with the service and quality of the food. The downtown location of the International Hotel also suited us very well. Two minor caveats: while we appreciated the secure parking in the adjacent parkade, getting from the parkade to the hotel proper required an awkward climb up a few stairs; guests with limited mobility would certainly have a problem there. The construction going on next door to the hotel meant that it was noisy from an early hour on two of the three mornings we were there. This may explain why the price of the suite was so reasonable, in which case it was a small inconvenience in an otherwise exceptionally pleasant visit. The International will be our first choice for every future visit.

Highly recommend! Nice downtown location. Only complaint is the charge for parking for guests.
