“Date Night”

We were thrilled with the spacious, comfortable room that let us spread out with plenty of room to have room service delivered and be eaten at a full dining table. Unfortunately the addition of a curved shower rod caused the bathroom door to bang every time you opened it all the way and if you flushed before washing your hands you were likely to get third degree burns. These little inconveniences were more than made up for by the reasonable price and friendly staff.

Area recommendations

Eau Claire is a nice area within walking distance from this hotel. There are beautiful walking paths along the river and restaurants for every budget and taste.

“Comfortable ,convenient, good location.”

We found the room to be very comfortable and attractively decorated. The hotel is located downtown and convenient to eating places, and some shopping. We used the pool area but found it dark and not very attractive.

Area recommendations

Au Clair market area and prince's island has lots of places to walk with shopping. Calgary zoo is amazing and the new Science Centre is worth a visit.

“Average Hotel”

Needs to be updated. I was actually pretty disappointed with the quality of the hotel. It was just average all round.

“OK, but”

It is in a good location. But it still needs more work to bring it to the standard of more modern hotels. For instance the elevator broke trapping someone for 90 minutes. None of the buttons of the phone work. But for a budget hotel downtown it is OK.

“Downtown Calgary excellence”

The hotel suite is beautiful and quite large. The hotel is well located in the downtown core as there a wide variety of excellent restaurants in every price range. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in providing assistance for the best route around town and what is available. The amenities and the staff made my trip extremely enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again.

“Better Than Expected”

Got a great last minute price - and was surprised by how large the suite was! It was nicer than my apartment and I wish I had staying the whole weekend instead of just one night! The pool and workout area were not fancy at all, kind of dated, but the restaurant had good food and the free parking was ample and easy to get in and out of.
