Reasonable location

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: Nice room and clean. Beds comfortable.
Cons: Yes, inform customer's if the advertised facilities are not available. You are selling a product.
Location: Not much for this location
Booked this hotel as it had a swimming pool but when arrived it was out of order. Felt a bit cheated and should not have to pay the published price. Disappointed !

Worst room of the hotel (I think)

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: The staff was nice. The lobby was very well kept and the restaurants are great.
Cons: The room itself and the walls are paper thin.
My mom had stayed in this hotel last year and I saw the room and it was very nice. We somehow got the worst room in the place (small room right across from the fitness centre that echoed into our room). The room had many spots in it that were not renovated like the rest of the room (light switch cover, fan cover, etc).

Uninformative staff

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Nice bathroom renovations
Cons: Staff needs to be more professional
We were assigned a room they said was clean. I parked my car, went up with a key, and completely forgot my room #, my boyfriend had it downstairs. I got to the 9th floor, saw a housekeeper and asked her if I could call the lobby, she happily obliged. Ringing the front desk, I said, "I forgot my, room number, could you help me out?" We exchanged information to confirm names and he replied with, "The room number should be on the packet". I said, "Yes, but that is in the parking with my boyfriend, I only have a key". He told me to hold. 2 minutes later he came back, he said, "How are you calling the front desk?" I said, "The housekeeper said I could use the phone in the room she is cleaning". He again told me to hold. 2 minutes later he came back again, "You are in your room though" I looked around the room, clearly being made up, garbage still everywhere, I told him exactly that. He said, "But the room is marked clean in my system" Meanwhile the housekeeper is in the back saying how she hasnt marked it clean yet. He put me on hold for another 5 minutes. When he returned to the phone, said he would send someone up with room keys for us to switch rooms. I mainly wasn't impressed how long it took for them to give me a straight answer about anything after providing them with my information. On top of that he talked back to me about the room being clean when I was standing in its filth.

Excellent decor in a perfect location

Posted 18-May-2015
We had a great stay at this hotel located perfectly downtown, near great restaurants and close enough for a river walk. Room comfort is great. Beautiful and new decor. Only complaint is it was a bit noisy, you could hear the goings on of other guests and when they cane home from a night on the town!

Unfortunate welcome (the experience below TBC...)

Posted 18-May-2015
I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times. I wanted to share the experience with my partner who had never stayed at the hotel. I called in ahead of time to arrange for amenities to be delivered to be room at a particular time. Also, I inquired about an early check in. I mentioned to the agent that I had a weekend of surprises for my partner and I would be coordinating our check in at the hotel around done other events. I called in the day of, was told that not only could the amenities be delivered to the room (regular check in is at 3, items to be delivered at 5), I could also check in early. I called in later to mention the early check in would not be required but the rest could stay the same. We arrived at the hotel at 5:40 pm. When I provided my details, I was told we would have to wait 30 minutes. I was quite disappointed with the front desk agent. He went on to say there was nothing he could do. I explained that I had checked in with the hotel twice that day, the first time being a confirmation call that I could check in early. I inquired why I wasnt given a courtesy call if the room was delayed since we had plans and i had tried working with some agents to plan things. We were told no rooms were available, offered two drink vouchers and told we could wait in the lobby. When my partner proceeded to the lobby, I mentioned to the agent that we did not drink and that it was imperative for us to drop out things off and leave. I was told again, nothing could be done

A stones throw to the BMO Center

Posted 15-May-2015
Loved this hotel. Great shower! Only gripe was my a/c wouldn't go below 75 F. I'm comfortable at 70 F. Maintenance came to look at it but that's as cold as it would go. Not a huge deal but if I had to say this was my only issue with the Arts.

An easy walk to downtown.

Speedy check in process. Close to some great pubs and eateries.
