“Loved it!!”

Loved the hotel and how neat it is. We were there in winter, and the pool outside was still working....it was steaming and looking very inviting. We also loved the area. The hotel is located in a very quaint part of the city. We will be definitely be staying there again!

“It was nice to have valet, and to be put in a very clean room”

Valet is key, nice hotel, was here for the Junos 2 years ago, management was a little unorginized, but experience made up for a flawless fix. I was put on a high floor, with a good bed, and very clean room. I did get a call as I was packing up at about 11:30. I know checkouts at 11 and check in's at 3, but I barley left a wet towel, and appreciate an hour of grace, and dont like to be rushed, but i guess some people abuse this, so thats life. not on them. I didnt like the fact I had to pay for wireless internet, that should be included in the hotel room, instead its outsourced. Thing is I can understand if its not included in a lower star hotel, but thats one of the differences of a 4 and 5 star, if they try and charge u for every little thing, it makes them look bad and like they need it more to make money then to accomidate their guest. Now i stayed at the Nuvo when i was there last time in calgary, and wow was that ever a nice hotel. its like a high end condo, all modern, easy access and seperate garage, treat you like someoone important. love the concept of trust their, and the key pad locks. Hope this helps. this is an unbiast review R

“Exactly what I was looking for.”

Was going to Calgary for a relaxing weekend and I was looking for a hotel that didn't have cheesy floral print sheets and horrible decor. The staff were friendly, they were able to make slight changes to my reservations once I arrived, offering to bump me to a suite for a nominal fee. The bed was comfy, though perhaps a bit too soft. My back was a bit stiff once I got back home. I didn't get a chance to swim in the pool but it looked lovely. I especially liked that the pool suites had private patios that looked onto the pool area (but didn't have direct access). Will probably book one of those next time I stay there. The hallways were a bit dark, like a few other reviews mentioned but how much time does one spend in the hallway? The bathroom was gorgeous . . . shower could have had more water pressure. It was a great stay, relaxing atmosphere, nothing to complain about really.

“Good for Downtown Business Trip”

The hotel is ever so slightly south of the downtown core, but at a substantially lower cost than its northerly neighbours. What a difference 3 blocks makes! I'm a walker and my business appointments were within easy striking distance. The hotel has obviously been recently renovated. The decor is very modern throughout and the rooms large. I only stayed two 2 nights, but certainly found it to be very pleasing, comfortable and clean.

“Hotel Arts Calgary”

Just a couple of small details that were missed, the curtain/drape is a bit sloppy and the hallways were not vacuumed after the daily room cleaning. Also, left change in my room (I was there for the marathon) and it all got picked up as a tip - not a huge deal, just a bit surprising.

“more than I ever could have dreamed”

we selected the hotel based primarily on location, it is right downtown and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go save the few places that we took the C-Train. For the amount we paid we were expecting a mediocre at best dive but Hotel Arts was more than adequate and made us feel as if we had gotten away with something. The gym was on our floor and there is a beautiful looking pool just outside the lobby. The only negatives I could think of that might disuade anyone was the area just to the south of the hotel is a little questionable but this is the case with pretty much any downtown area. There were a number of appealing establishments close by and it is only a short walk to the Stephen Avenue outdoor mall that itself is filled with scores of interesting possible destinations.
