“Great downtown hotel for the price”

Five is great place to stay, good price.

“You can't loose with this one”

I've stayed at this hotel several times. The accommodations and staff are superb. Second to none. Friendly, courteous, and professional. The rooms are actual one bedroom apartments and very spacious. The price for a hotel of this caliber and rooms of this size is very reasonable. Close to downtown and restaurants.

“Great Place to Stay”

The location is amazing when you want to tour Calgary. It's only about 2 blocks to the train which will take you almost anywhere. The people are great and eager to help you with ANYTHING that you may need. We went there on our honeymoon and were so happy we stayed here. Also, their restaruant has great food as well.

“Calgary Convenience”

The hotel is centrally located in downtown Calgary so you can walk everywhere or walk 2 blocks to a train station. The kitchen made it easy to have breakfast & snacks in the room, and the desk was a good size and provided a good place to work while peering out the window. Also really liked the provision of recycling boxes.

“Great affordable spacious accomodation”

Moved to 5 Calgary Downtown suites from another suites hotel which not great. Much better and great value for money. The decore is a little dated but extremely spacious accomodation with separate bedrooms and ktchen areas. Also has a dining room table so comfortable for meals and work. Internet access free and unlike the reviews I had no issue with the speed of the wireless connection. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and happy to help with information or any other needs soch as spare paper I needed to work. Overall certainly would recommend especially if needed a base for work and if staying a few days.

“Great service, location”

Great hotel. Good value. Cupboards, furniture and shelving are old but the room was clean. Hotel allows pets, they say they have special cleaning after pet check out, but I still found pet hair on the couches. Aside from that, everything was fine. Sheets and bed were clean. Service was great and nice people, very helpful. Free wi-fi and business centre available to print anything out. close to the c-transit line. I'd stay here again.

“Very Impressed”

The staff on the hotel reception were extremely helpful and friendly. For example, when we needed to know how to get to an attraction they printed out local transport links and travel times and helped plan our journey. The bar staff and hotel shop staff were equally friendly and helpful. The only negative point was the hotel resturant but I think we caught them on a bad day when they were a member of staff down! We would defintately stay there again and would recommend it especially to people who dont know the area well. The reception desk staff have many maps and are always willing to point you in the right direction.

“Excellent service!”

The suites may not be the most up-to-date but the staff made up for it. I was treated like a five-star guest and the location and price were fabulous. All service requests were handled promptly and cheerfully. Thanks for a great stay.

“Calgary Trip”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Five between August 7-10. Check-in was very smooth and we were given a parking pass so we could access the covered parking 24 hours a day-very nice. The staff were very friendly and the hotel lobby is quite nice. It is an older building but we were surprised at the lack of an air conditioner. We were on the 25th floor and Alberta does get quite cool at night so this turned out not to be a problem since we just opened the windows. They do provide a fan as well. The food at the restaurant is delicious but a little pricey. Nice breakfast buffet and regular menu. Wonderful pool and sauna and a pretty standard, but adequate, weight room. Didn't get a chance to go to the spa but it looked very nice. Overall, we had a great stay at the Five. Would stay there again.
