Great stay

Posted 22-Sep-2014
The room was extremely comfortable - great fitness facility and pool. The only "disappointments" were regarding the on-site dining options - really no big deal, but we were told upon check-in that there was a full-service Starbucks, but it really isn't. It's more of a restaurant that serves Starbucks (i.e. don't expect to go and order most specialty drinks, like Pumpkin Spice, Caramel Apple Spice, Frapps, etc). Otherwise, great. The food was good, even though there weren't many gluten-free options (ie you can't substitute the fries that cover 3/4 of your plate with a small serving of vegetables). Lots of carbs, though!

Great Hotel

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Cons: A mirror in the bedroom would of been nice as its awkward getting ready when someone is in the bathroom
had a quick stop off before flying, the room was very clean and large, facing the back was fairly quiet. We arrived early and they let us into our room which was very nice.

Nice hotel, convenient to the airport

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Nice hotel & room.
Cons: Newer towels, they're clean but look very old.
Location: Nothing special.
This hotel is very nice but there is no spa, neither sauna, I was very disappointed about this.

Very good for the price

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: Free parking Not to far of a drive from the zoo, and downtown Good price Not near residential so safe neighborhood Cons: Long drive to the Chinook mall (I max theater) but there was a close theater that me and my girlfriend were able to watch Guardian in Beautiful hotel room layout and washroom style. It's the best hotel I have stayed at in the price range (100-140). There is also a tims, and McDonald's nearby with a Starbucks in the lobby. The pool us just a rectangular pool so not much to it but at least they have a pool. Didn't try out the WiFi so can't judge on that but I was told it was free and easy to sign in I really enjoyed my stay there, and next time I go to Calgary I will be going back there.

Nice hotel, not geared for kids

Posted 5-Aug-2014
Pros: Rooms, beds, quiet
Cons: Size/positioning of the TV set - awkward to watch ; size of the pool, a hot tub would have been great. More reasonably priced food
This hotel is lovely, very nicely decorated and comfortable in all aspects. We were travelling with two young children and found that the pool was a bit disappointing (small, no lifejackets available, no hot tub) and the food at the Bistro was very expensive. It cost us $70 for breakfast! The Bistro staff were not especially friendly and the rushed payment/ordering system was confusing. It was nice to have Starbucks coffee available from the hotel, though. Room service, a kids' menu and more reasonably priced choices would have made this a better overall experience but where it counts - room comfort, price, noise (or lack there of), this hotel earned good marks.
