“Average”
Hotel renovated rooms. Excellent except they put caulking over dirt & possible mold in bathroom between tub and tile, (just clean it before cauling, 30 second job.) Cookies each day were a welcome touch. The employees working the front desk were efficient but emotionless and were not helpful. Worst guest service desk of any hotel I ever stayed in. However they did not wreck the stay. Other guests in the hotel were very pleasant.
“OK for the price, nothing great”
The service wasn't great, the receptionist wasn't acommodating to our family of six and I had to request the cleaning person the things I had asked for. The hotel advertises an outdoor pool which is VERY small. Also, they open it to the public so it was incredibly busy and we couldn't even get a place to sit. The pool was not heated, so even though we were at 30 degree weather the water was freezing!. Will not book there again.
“Won't stay here again”
The hotel room was dated & small. Not worth the money.
“Comfortable”
Hotel was quite nice
“Good hotel if you are in south Calgary.”
Because of stampede the price was too high, but it was a good hotel to stay at.
“A fine place to stay”
I stayed here for one night while on a business trip. Although the hotel looks a little dated on the outside, the room was clean large and confortable. The hotel did not charge extra for parking. I had dinner in the hotel resturant and it was fabulous. The location was great for what I needed, a large mall just down the road, a few minutes by car. I did not want to stay down town and one of the reasons I stayed here is because the hotel was just accross the street from the Ranchmen, a real country bar, and I have a great time there.
“This is NOT a 3.5 star hotel....”
I experienced good service from all the staff. That being said, there was some negatives. My room was too small. Not much storage. Bathroom too small. No power to plug-ins to our vehicle. I have an extension cord that has an indicator light, and it was not lit. There was no in-room safe. This hotel is not a 3.5 star. I would give it a 2.5 or 3 star at best.
“Great Hotel right on the way to downtown.”
I have stayed at this hotel several and have always been quite satisfied with these accommodations. The bakery is a huge plus, just try some of their wares and you will want to come back. The pub on site has one of the best steak sandwiches in Calgary and all the sports you could find on their many tvs. The staff is courteous and friendly. All in all a great experience!
“good place”
rooms a little older but in good condition, staff nice. Have stayed there on a number of occasions mostly because of location. the hotel has seen better days and some of the rooms could use a major face lift but it is clean and pleasent.
“very nice”
For our one night pre-Christmas stay, staff was extremely accommodating regarding a special request. We wish we had known about the bakery in the hotel lobby and I wouldn't have bothered to bake!
