Our third stay at your hotel.

Posted 20-Jan-2015
Location: Our niece and her husband live about 2 miles away.
Our third stay at your hotel was the best so far. In the past 2 stays we had to put up with unruly guests due to a local football game in the stadium across the road and the Calgary Stampede. This time, though, we were attending our niece's baby shower so that it was much quieter. Also, adding the complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise, preventing us from having to go to the local Denny's restaurant for better food at a cheaper price. Thanks!

OK hotel, Under renovations

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Convenient location. Cheryl in the lounge is awesome.
Cons: Tell people that you are under renovation. It feels disingenuous to arrive to find some major construction underway and facilities closed for use
I have stayed here several times and enjoyed myself, eve to the extent of providing a favorable review. This past visit was a bit of a disappointment. It started with a staff member telling me a policy that I had never experienced had "always been like that" adding an additional step to the corporate booking. The added step was not as disconcerting to me, as the employee adamantly sating that the policy had always been there and that I must have been mistaken. Offset that level of service with, upon arrival, a personalized greeting from the front desk staff, very impressive, and complimentary underground parking. The opposite ends of the service spectrum. Upon arrival, with no prior disclosure, we discovered that the hotel was under renovation. The front lobby was being extended, the restaurant was being re-tiled (although it was open to use) and the swimming pool and hot tub were closed due to the renovations. This was a mild annoyance at the loss of use of the facilities, the real frustration was in not being told that this was the state of the hotel. To summarize, not a terrible experience, however at a very similar price point, there are several other hotels that will be able to accommodate, without the mess and fuss. I may consider trying this hotel again, once the renovations are completed. However I have already booked the stay for our next work training session at a different hotel.

Convenient to train and eating establishments .

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Pros: The fridge , micro and other items in room .
Cons: More bacon .
Location: Very handy location to what we required .
Our experience was great , have been staying here every time my son and I come to Calgary for a hockey game weekend . I must tell you this though , we took a handicapped friend with us this year , upon check out he went down before us for a cigarette , when he tried to re enter he was treated like someone off the street and was told to leave , he was confused . He told the front desk who he was with but not believed , he was asked his room number , but gave one wrong number , at this point I arrived and resolved the situation . I talked to the person at the desk about it , I realise it was a matter of security , I just hope in the future that they might handle this differently . My friend was upset , but did enjoy his stay . I don't want to get anyone in trouble , just be aware of this for the next time . Thank You .

Pros: The staff do their best to make the stay as nice as possible. Cheryl That works in the lounge is awesome.
I was staying here for business and found the staff to be very helpful, efficient and friendly. They made the check in process as easy as possible. The hotel was clean, even during the current renovations. I look forward to my next stay.

Clean, Comfy, and Quiet

Posted 5-Dec-2014
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past year and a half, and I have enjoyed the experience every time. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and seem to truly have a desire to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. My reservation was covered by my company and the front desk staff did an excellent job of making check in seamless and fast, I think it was under 2 minutes. Cheryl that works in the lounge is warm and bubbly and does an excellent job. I may have stayed for business, but when I travel to Calgary with my family I would stay here.

Great stay

Stayed for a volleyball tournament at U of C. Great continental breakfast. Comfy beds, nice pool in the middle of the atrium. One of the two elevators was out of order briefly. Close to local restaurants. Very good stay.
