Great stay

Posted 20-Aug-2014
The pool was right outside our door and our granddaughter loved it. She was very disappointed when we had to change rooms because our door lock wasn't working properly. The hotel staff was very quick to get us a new room, keys and assist us with getting our luggage to our new room. Staff in the hotel restaurant were very pleasant and the food was great!

Pros: Very good breakfast, included in the price.
Cons: nothing
Location: Across the street from McMahon Stadium. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Friendly helpful staff. Called about setting the air conditioner, someone came to the room within five minutes.

Tea?

Posted 6-Aug-2014
Pros: Proximity to downtown and the Trans Canada.
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms. Furniture is outdated and showing it's age. Get rid of paper cups. Cheap toilet paper. Phone book would be nice.
Location: Motel Village in Calgary. C-Train access, McMahon Stadium across street, Phil's Restaurant close by. North Hill Shopping Center within 10 minute walk
They advertise complimentary tea and coffee. No tea, no kettle. Called desk & requested on housekeeping card. No joy. Hot tub was a bit of an adventure. Looked like someone had dumped soap into it. Turns out, it's the chlorine. Left feeling itchy. Cold pool was freezing cold. Coffee served in restaurant was undrinkable. Machine made, not brewed properly. Food mediocre at best. Forget something in your car? It can be up to a 4 block hike depending on parking location and room location because there is no friggin back entrance. Oh, and don't forget the revival meeting held beside the restaurant on Sunday mornings, just about the same time as brunch. Praise the lord and pass the ketchup. This one is crossed off our list forever.

Handy to football stadium

Posted 5-Aug-2014
Pros: Clean comfortable room
Cons: Front desk help
The key didn't work and had to wait for maintenance to change the battery. Rather inconvenient after I had to walk down to the desk three times to inform them that it didn't work. Should have checked batteries before guests used rooms.

Served the purpose.

Pros: Close proximity to Foothills Medical Centre. Nice continental breakfast.
Cons: Prefer to call and book rooms, but price was cheaper to book on line. Air conditioner in room didn't work very well. I find the mattresses too soft.
Location: Close to Foothills Hospital, and 16th Avenue.
Had stayed previously. The room we had was updated and nice, although I find the mattresses too soft. Hotel seemed clean. It was very warm out and our air conditioner did not work very well. Continental breakfast was nice. Parking is not great, but no different than any other hotel in the area. I prefer to book rooms by phone but they could not give me their own internet rate via the phone. So we booked through expedia for a better rate.
