Greeted warmly by welcoming friendly receptionist who helped us immediately to find our room
Well appointed room with very comfortable bed and spotless ensuite bathroom
Decent breakfast with wide choice but Chaotic self service and cutlery and crockery in disordered locations. Very poor coffee and tea from dispensers. The breakfast experience is rather like a game of " lost and found" as many items appeared to change places each morning.
We tried dinner on one evening but found it disappointing and cold.
Delightful swimming pools and lots of guided activities. Too much blaring music at times
Overall a reasonably pleasant experience but difficult for Anglo / Irish tastes.
Probably more suited for young couples or families with young children.
My husband & I chose this hotel for a peaceful week in the sun (we are in our early 30's). The hotel is close to the airport so within 30 minutes of landing we were at the check in desk with a complimentary glass of champagne - lovely! Unfortunately we didn't get the peaceful week we had hoped for as this hotel is very much a family friendly resort and even though we had gone whilst kids were at school - clearly Spain/France and Germany do not have the same rules as the number of children there seemed to outnumber the adults. The rooms are not very sound-proof and there were only two English news channels available which was a shame. The mini golf was being repaired and only half completed but the Barceló hotel in town has a far superior mini golf course so I would recommend that. The food on the Island was very disappointing (in the hotel and in the local town). We had paid for just breakfast and by the time we got down there (around 9.30am) everything was barely warm. The beach just outside the hotel is lovely and the sea is great for snorkelling. We used the spa on a couple of occasions and that was nice. I had a massage which was very good and at a discounted price for being a resident at the hotel. There were plenty of sun loungers so there wasn't the usual scramble to get one as soon as the sun rises. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel as preferred to go into town every night but we did eat lunch there which was fine - if not a tad overpriced in my opinion.
Great resort for a holiday with a Young family, location is perfect and the apartment had everything we needed. My only hotel recommendation would be to have a bigger and more accessible park for the little ones.
On arrival had a lovely welcome from staff cases were taken to our room for us and then booked us in with a drink. The hotel was extremely clean with excellent staff throughout nothing was any trouble. The food and rooms were excellent really loved it will be back
We stayed in a premium suite, which was well worth the money. All the hotel staff appeared to be well trained and genuinely friendly whether they be working in reception, the restaurant or as lifeguards. The spa facilities were very good and the treatments on offer were good value for money. The meals on offer were generally of a good standard in the premium restaurant. We gave the nightly 'entertainment' a miss.
The Hotel is in a quiet area with not much around but that's what we wanted its a nice walk along the coastal path to the nearest resort, the Hotel apartments are just fine clean and well laid out, the pool is just outside next to the outside bar, the Staff in the Hotel are all very polite and most helpful, the restaurant food in the hotel is nothing special but you can get as much as you like.
if you are not all inclusive or BB the prices are very reasonable breakfast is 4 euro, and evening meal is 6.5 euro, the bar price are also reasonable all in all we enjoyed our stay and I wood go back again.
"dont mistake it with the castillo elba in de fuste"
lucklily the taxi driver knew the difference between the 2 hotels. we arrived just after midday and were allowed to check in immediatly. lovely ground floor room with a terrace and garden facing south west so we had the sun from about 10 am to 6 on the terrace. lovely 3 roomed suite with twin beds they were both nearly double size. excellent free bus into town that is required because there is not a lot else in coste de antigua otherwise apart from a small supermarket.
Popular Caleta de Fuste provides a home-from-home for north European visitors. The beach, like the neat and tidy resort, is man-made and provides a safe, family-friendly environment around a shallow bay. The port is a focus of activity with an aquarium set into the actual harbour, and is the departure point for dolphin-watching excursions. There is also a championship golf course within the resort.
