The room was very comfortable and nice. The staff was very friendly and polite. Top tier service. My only complaint is the hotel lobby area is very heavy in smoke. Also, the room attached to my room was a bit loud and the sound came right through the shared door. Otherwise, great place to stay.

I was excited to have a relaxing time with my family but only to be very disappointed. At first we check in told swimming pool closes certain time only to find that it close a bit early which we would’ve enjoyed. Second the mosquitos… I don’t think I slept for more than 20 minutes because I was literally getting bites every minute. I felt like the sheets and the pillows weren’t as clean… finally after already paid for our stay the day before and got bites and uncomfortable sleep I get a new charge because the staff who checked me didn’t do the math right… knowing how international and high class this hotel I was very disappointed in our stay and probably won’t be coming back again.

Disappointing
I’m not sure if this is a 5 star hotel. It doesn’t depict this in any form. I’m used to 5 star hotels but this was an understatement. My first time in any a Mövenpick hotel. My room was devoid of different items. When I spoke to reception, I was told to call if I needed anything replaced. He was dismissive. Dust in different areas of the room. The only thing good I could say was when I checked in close to midnight, I asked if I could get some for my daughter and I to eat and they did a good job. Otherwise, it was not a good experience.

Nice pool view, that is the only positive thing. They charged me $35 EXTRA PER NIGHT for having my son with me even thought my reservation clearly showed me booking a room with 2 beds for the entire stay. They charged me for parking my car about 100 Egyptian pound per day.. My reservations had me paid for 2 breakfast per day, both of us only used the restaurant for breakfast only once out of 8 days , we got very sick from eating breakfast once and never ate again in that hotel.

The property is very old, first of all, the movenpick emblem at the front gate is missing some letters, secondly, the staff of the hotel were very unhelpful and when you need to order something you must expect at least 45 min waiting time, even if you ordered ice. All of the staff members offer help and assistance in exchange for tips, not for actually assisting. no tip means extremely limited assistance. third, the facility is very very old. all of the room doors needs fixing, the furniture is completely ruined, the bathroom needs an entire renew as the shower is old and messy as well as the toilet. the beds are extremely hard and please please please if you have a problem in your back do not sleep on that cheap bed their offering in their rooms. honestly for a movenpick hotel, I couldn’t be more disappointed and dissatisfied. the only good thing about the hotel was the pool which we couldn’t use in winter time. otherwise, I would recommend fully destroying the property and rebuild a new, modern, movenpick that is truly a movenpick.

It was pleasant but was a little far from the city. Front desk was a indifferent when I asked for help to get something from pharmacy. The stuff never came. Not sure if because I am a woman. We forgot our convertor there after we left. It took few calls to find it but they did find it. I am pleased with that one.

I was not pleased with the security. A three hundred dollar noise cancelling headert disappeared from my room. At the SPA, the showers are not clean. The door had soap residue on it, the grant floor did not look clean and the door had rust on its hinges. They have one restaurant and the food is barely edible.

Checked in 1 hour, at 5:00pm, while i came in at 4:00 pm which is 2 hours after normal check in time, quality of food is very poor, room AC is just giving air, its not working properly, rooms need to be renovated, i asked for juice on pool i got it after half an hour and not cold! overall disappointing, other chains with same prices and by far better!

Room i got was really dirty, seemed like it wasnt cleaned for over a month, when i asked for a different room the receptionist said the hotel is booked (hotel was almost empty during my entire visit). Food is terrible in every way (quality, taste and freshness) and any outside orders would need to be personally picked up from the outside gate which is a really long walk specially after a long day of work (i guess its the hotels way to force visitors to order their food). Last time i stay here. such a shame used to love this hotel but their standard has really dropped over the past 2 years.
