Internet access: Wireless Internet access covers the conference rooms, lobby, Lobby Bar, and Café Coco. Access costs AU$0.55 per minute to a maximum of AU$29 in any 24-hour period. Conference/function room(s): The Sebel Cairns has ten function rooms located over three floors. The largest is the Grand Ballroom, which is 500 square metres and can cater to 600 people in cocktail and theatre styles. It can be divided into two rooms of equal size. The other eight rooms range from 58 square metres to 106 square metres in size, some of which can be combined to create larger zones. The two 72-square-metre boardrooms are decorated in colonial style, with carved chairs and sideboards and chandeliers. There is also a 330-square-metre pre-function foyer on the ground floor, as well as two large pool decks. A range of audiovisual equipment is available, and includes flip charts, data projectors, PA system, microphones, and slide projectors.

Recreation
Cairns has a wide variety of sporting and water activities. The Esplanade (one block) has jogging and biking tracks, tennis courts (1 km), and the Cairns Esplanade Swimming Lagoon (300 metres), a 4,800-square-metre saltwater pool with sandy beaches and a dedicated children's area. Cairns CBD has several health clubs that offer classes in aerobics, Pilates, and yoga. Water sports such as jet skiing, motor boating, and parasailing can be arranged through the hotel or at the various operators at the Pier Shopping Centre or Reef Fleet Terminal a short walk from the hotel. Helicopter sightseeing is available at the aviation terminal (8 km). Waterskiing and wakeboarding on fixed cables can be enjoyed at Smithfield, an 18-kilometre drive north of Cairns. This is also the location of the Cairns Golf Club, which has a driving range. Rafting can be enjoyed on the Barron River, a twenty-minute drive away.
The Sebel Cairns has a large, lagoon-style swimming pool located on a landscaped, third-level terrace. The pool is surrounded by large decks and tropical gardens. A fitness centre provides weights machines, cycles, a treadmill, stair machine, and rowing machine, as well as two unisex saunas. Bicycles can be rented at the concierge desk for AU$6 per hour, AU$18 per half day or AU$27 per day.

“Perfect”
We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff is very friendly, rooms were clean and the foyer was simply stunning. The breakfast buffet was also yummy. we enjoyed lazing by the pool all day.

I wish to have a continental breakfast included. We paid premium through Expedia for the trust and convenient. We hoped there is an option to have fast and cheap breakfast during our busy travel schedule.

A very nice, quiet and classy 5 star hotel, just off the Esplanade. The rooms were large, modern and clean. Nice pool and they have self laundry facilities as well...a must in hot and humid Cairns. We didn't use their restaurants, but there are dozens within a few blocks. We had the concierge rent a car for us and that was also no hassles. Would definitely recommend it or stay there again.
“Good property in fairly central location.”
Good clean central property with good views of waterfront (harbourside room) LIfts a bit wobbly on the higher floors. Pool and spa great after a hot days touring - would have been nice to see the pool bar open in the afternoons 4-7pm ish. Beds very comfy but short - my toes hung over the end of the bed and I'm only 5'7". Shower was over bath which is a bit outdated in my view, - but the water pressure was wonderful! Little balcony very cute with COMFY chairs - congrats here!

This was the first time I have stayed in a Sebel hotel and would recommend it from my experience. The hotel is located walking distance to most everything I wanted to go. The staff was prompt and friendly.

The Sebel was an affordable stay at a very classy hotel. The location was perfect being minutes away from the city, night markets and casino but was also a short walk to the reef terminal where day tours were leaving regularly.
