The landscaping/plants are awesome here. The pool area was clean & available. Margaret was so helpful with any/all ?????? There are noisy birds in the palm trees that are colorful & fun to watch. The beach & esplande are steps away & there is a guarded beach close by. Highly recommmend this spot for anyone interested in nature & a gorgeous relaxing spot near to many activities. .

Melaleuca was heavenly: I felt safe as a solo traveler, the property was quiet and clean! The owners were really great about communicating and adjusting to the situation when my flight got delayed over and over again. I was really grateful for their flexibility and willingness to help. My stay at Melaleuca was very peaceful and relaxing!

Very nice place right across the beach in the middle of Palm Cove. Comfortable little apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Multiple restaurants within 5 min walking distance. Super nice and friendly hosts.

Great accommodation across to the beach in the nice quiet neighborhood. Spacious one bedroom appartment that has everything fir vacation, kitchen, laundry, balcony, plenty of furniture. Managers Margaret and Stephen are very nice and helpful. So we had great time, hope to come again.

Lovely stay for 3 nights. Older style property on the strip but a one bedroom apartment v a hotel room which give you that bit of extra space. A very comfortable stay. Would be happy to stay there again on our next visit

This is a well located property and Magaret is a wonderful host. The property is, however, very run down. Even things a basic as the out front signage are years past needing to be replaced. there is rust and general decrpitude everywhere. And dont get me started on the iron and kitchen appliances etc. A decision needs to be made as to whether to give this property a major revamp or put the bulldozer through. Given the current property market, I expect the later to be the better option.

Thanks Peter for your comments. Yes we agree that its time for new signage and we are in the process of organising this. Our housekeepers normally check for appliances such as irons or toasters etc that need replacing - as it turns out there were two irons in the room - the one you commented on was obviously not removed. We continually strive to give our guests a relaxing and memorable stay however we didn't make the grade on this occasion. We do hope you will give us another try.

We loved being right opposite the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing at night. The sea breezes. The kitchen facilities are very basic with no oven but there is a gas BARB Q in the gardens.

Yes we often get comments on how wonderful it is to hear the waves at night. Although there is a microwave and cooktop in the apartment if requested we can offer other items such as slow cookers, benchtop turbo oven and sandwich maker. These are not always in the apartment but we do have a small supply if requested. Please ask us next time.

Prime location and a property that did not have lots of kids staying so access to the pool was great. Directly across the road from the beach, was so nice to hear the ocean from the room.

We are not wheelchair friendly because as you mentioned we do have stairs but we have a lot of elderly guests with various degrees of limitations who stay on the lower floor - only 8 steps - and enjoy the quiet ambiance of the pool area.

The communication before we got there was poor. The manager told me she was organising us transfers and would email me some outer reef day trip options and I never heard from her. I emailed and called and never got a response. Very poor communication so ended up organising it all myself. The beds were two single beds pushed together and my partner and I kept falling down between the two beds. We ended up sleeping on two single futons in the Loungeroom- not ideal for our first romantic holiday away together. Otherwise it was fine, great location. But would choose somewhere else next time that had better communication initially and bed setup not like what we had.

Wow Margaret & Stephen are the best on site managers. Know the area better than anyone. The location is the best spot anywhere in Palm Cove. With the beach across the road, it’s the best accom by far! Pool is excellent, spent hours relaxing in it and lunch around the pool too.So many restaurants so close to Melaleuca it’s awesome!. Parking at rear near unit great. Units are very good, air con, kitchen, washing machine & dryer. We will definitely be back at Melaleuca can’t wait! 10/10

Loved everything about the resort. Just needs a bit of an upgrade in appliances such as the TV size, an extra tv in the bedroom and offer fresh towels daily for longer stays, but everything else was great. Will recommend the resort and will be staying there again

Relaxing getaway.
Excellent place to stay. Close to everything. Beach is straight across Esplande. Close to bus stop if you do not have a car. All the facilities you would require on few days away are available here. One minor downside is the internet signal could certainly do with a boost.

Great place to stay at a very good price!
Very nice apartment block in the center of everything. Small block of 24 apartments provides a boutique and relaxed overall feel. Fully fitted out kitchen with full sized appliances, washer and dryer in the bathroom. Nicely landscaped gardens and pool area. Good sized 1 bedroom apartment with chairs on your deck. Fully fitted our barbecue dining pavilion. Palm Cove Beach is just a few steps out your door, and across the road. Very good value for the money. Very likely we will stay here again.
