"Beautiful resort, but too big, staff not as friendly"
This resort is very beautiful, it has spectacular views of the Pacific for some great pictures! This hotel is huge, almost too big.. We went with a big family and everyone got roomed in different buildings so it was hassle to visit each other and inconvenient to have to take a little golf cart ride almost everywhere! You could walk but the design of the resort is made more for carts than for pedestrians. Additionally, our experience wasn't that great with some of the staff at the resort. Our housekeeper was great, the reception staff and the greeters were friendly but the waiters and the staff at the bars and restaurants not so much... At least not as friendly as other resorts we've been to in Cabo. I don't know if it has anything to do with this resort having timeshare owners and people who don't have the all inclusive, but the staff looked either short staffed or overworked or both. The only other thing I didn't like about this resort is that you have to sign a check for every single thing you consume, even for just a bottle of water at the bar. If you have all inclusive the balance is 0 so you don't have to pay for anything. But I prefer resorts that have only all inclusive you eat and drink and can walk away without having to worry about signing a check and giving you room number every time you get served. The resort also lacks activities and entertainment, but if your looking to go to Cabo to enjoy the view in peace and quiet then this is the resort for you!

The accommodations were excellent. A little noisy though on our side due to construction and location of room over sister hotel. The staff were outstanding and in many cases better service than have ever received in California. Definitely recommend the all-inclusive it's a great deal.
"Definitely recommended but if you're a drinker..."
Great staff and location. Ok rooms but no complaints. By staff I mean concierge, servers, and everyone else in between EXCEPT the bartenders. The bartenders choose to not acknowledge you, borderline ignore you... even if you tip them upfront. It was quite frustrating actually.
Restaurants were ok/good and the room service is super convenient.
Overall we had a great time here and I would recommend it to anyone who asks.
We enjoyed the resort very much once we got past the initial "vacation club". It had an intimate feel to it and the staff was extremely friendly and service good. We were disappointed that "all inclusive" does not include everything. We knew the alcohol would be not be top shelf but it also did not cover the Mexican restaurant or room service unless you agreed to attend a presentation. The location was very convenient but we really got sick of the street hawkers. Also the beach was not that easy to get to and not very nice. All in all, we still felt it was a good value for the money.

Great time!!!Great place!!! Just a couple of issues they need more staff.. Had to wait one day 2 hours for breakfast (room service) and some days I would have to wait 45 minutes for a taxi.. Our room was perfect and will be going back ASAP.. My family and I loved it.. Restaurant were great and staff were professional
My husband, son, and daughter (all adults) stayed at the Ridge for 5 days last week. It was truly amazing and we are very picky. The photos don't do this place justice as the scenery and views are breathtaking. The 1 bedroom two bathroom(with soaking tub) suite in bldg. B on the second floor was clean, spacious and perfect for the four of us. Two Murphy beds in the living room and a king in the bedroom. Huge balcony with a couch and two chairs overlooking the dolphin experience,,the marina, and the entire coastline including Mediano Beach. Interesting to watch the boats come and go including one large cruise ship.
We did the fish spa and it was original. The pools at the ridge are quiet and luxurious. Good towels. The service around the pool was spotty at best. Much confusion with seemingly many waiters and no one seemed to know if an order was taken or not. This occurred many times. Same with the daily included American breakfast at the ridge restaurant. Long waits and several confused servers not knowing what we needed. This could be tightened up a bit.
The main pool and beach area at the Playa Grande was fun also. You are unable to swim at this beach!!! The action at the main pool seemed entertaining though we opted for a quieter location right next to the beach.
A $10 p.p. Water taxi to Lover's beach and the Arch are a must! Right outside of the resort you can catch one of these at the marina at any time.
Overall an outstanding upscale resort.

Literally at Land’s End, Cabo San Lucas sits at the southern tip of Baja California. Here, the Sea of Cortés and the Pacific Ocean meet at the famous Land’s End rock formation (El Arco). Nearby, Lover’s Beach (Playa del Amor) offers superb snorkeling. Although popular for its world-class golfing and sportfishing, Cabo’s after-dark clubs are a rival draw, such as Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina.
