We spent 4 nights our room was not serviced once, had to ask for clean towels, ended up getting them ourselves, bad luck if you get back late have to park you car on the main road

The hotel room was number 8, very old and run down, the light from the car park lit up the whole room, despite having block out curtains,

Convenient & comfortable
Clean & comfortable convenient accommodation. Good sized room. A little dated but good facilities. Nice pool area & well kept surrounds.

Basic room but clean bathroom outdated the fridge in our room very noisey and the ceiling fan not usable as rocked all the time not having an allocated parking spot not good

Older style, good staff.
Older style with many unused areas when quiet such as restaurant. Nice to open the windows although light on all night outside is annoying, should go off at some point or be on motion sensor. Big room with large desk area private bath room with good shower. Vending machines well stocked with affordable prices.

Although considered 3 star, still wasn’t worth the money. Rooms are so outdated! No hot water for 2 days, Booled 2 family rooms, had to relocate due to broken water pipe. Instead if family room was put into room with 2 single beds. Was not offered discount. No parking! Bus on site that completely takes up one side of the car park! Obvious majority of the rooms are taken by permanent rentals & road workers. Rooms smelt of really cheap cleaning products, smell was over bearing! Only positive thing about this motel was the lovely young fella by the name of Mitch that works there!no on site staff!! If Ballina wasn’t so booked out would of been happy to loose the money and find something else!!Long 3 days, glad to check out!

The photos on the internet were alot different to the motel ... my bathroom was disgusting and had mould and the bus was taking up my park and the other people in motel were very loud room 19 and 21 or 22 horrible

We were travelling to Ballina from Sydney- due to traffic and road works we rang to advise we would not arrive until 6.30pm - our reservation was not able to be found and we were told the key would be under the room doormat - the staff member was abrupt and we feel did not provide customer service required

Great motel experience, a few smokers hanging about outside detracted from it for me as the smoke irritates my sinuses. maybe put the smokers one side and non smokers another? anyway, great little room, everything I needed

EXCELLENT , 9.2. Host was super, he provided us with a map, marked, drives & points of interest, and recommended places to eat. WE arrived ~830PM, our assigned room was on 2nd floor, I asked if it could be changed to a 1st floor room (bad knees). He offered us a room that slept (3), on the 1st floor, something he didn't have to do ! Room was fine. Innkeeper recommended Ballina Maritime Museum, only $A5 -- a fantastic value ! I spent 2+ hours there. It is rated as the Best Museum of it's type, & lives up to it's reputation. One shortcoming I pointed out, was that there was no shower mat. Ceramic tile + shampoo + soap + water =s great possibility of a fall. Say a mat costs ~$A7, & there are 365 days/year, that is only 2c/day to prevent a broken hip or worse + a lawsuit--a wise investment.

What you would expect for $85
Very much in need of an upgrade/update. Bed comfortable. Excellent shower. Limited parking for car and trailer. Pillows need to be retired. Good location. "Old" never looks as clean as "new".

A very basic room
The room was clean, but had no microwave, no crockery. there was no one on duty and I had to conduct via a telephone near the front door. Worst was that the air-conditioner did not work. A hot and humid afternoon and it was just a fan. The owner came, played with the remote for a while then said he would check the outside unit. (I never saw him again, and eventually I packed up and booked out.

3 day work stay
reception and management staff are friendly and helpful. room cleanliness is poor having both dead and live insects, and dirty floors. fittings such as power outlets and cupboards in poor and broken condition. cleaner is a smoker and you can smell that they were in your room.
