“very impressed”

when we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed. It was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in a very long time. The room itself was huge. Very clean and staying there we had the best sleep we have had in a long time. We would recomend this hotle to any one. thank yu

“relaxing paradise”

this hotel is a dream. the staff is courteous and helpful. it's a short 10 minute walk to centro. this pousada is in a different league than the others i saw in the area.

“Buzios”

After spending a few days in Rio in some hostels (Rio hotels are very expensive!) our group (5 total, 2 rooms) was very delighted to stay at Porto Bay Glenhauz. I can honestly say for once that the pics on the web site actually do not do justice to the property, it is even better! No detail goes unnoticed including fresh flowers on the bed, a tote with the property name on it, an amazingly furnished patio, a gorgeous view of the pool and a delicious breakfast, including made to order eggs! I definetly recommend this place, I happen to get it at a really great Expedia rate for the mid-grade suite and think I would have paid double! Buzios is great, make sure to do a boat cruise of the beaches!!

“I enjoyed this hotel so much”

An excellent alternative to stay in Buzios. A clean, comfortable hotel. Very good breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Very calm. The only suggestion is that they should enhance the food availability during all the day long.

stayed for 2 nites... the good: 1. host and hostess are extremely polite and helpful...went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable... 2. hotel rooms were huge and well kept... 3. breakfast was really good...very generous portions the bad: 1. bathroom layout is bad...very small which is weird considering the rooms are huge 2. a few bugs get in and out...didn't bother me much but really freaked out my wife...but i think probably all the hotels in the area have the same bugs.... overall: really enjoyed my stay, the host and hostess were fantastic...

“Good hotel.”

Would have preferred to be closer to the beach, but the quality of the hotel was better than many hotels that were on the beach.

“Great staff, beautiful setting”

Although the staff and setting was incredible, mosquitos and bugs were a problem. There was a couple of maintenance issues (hot water)which the staff were very apologetic about and did eventually take care of. The hotel was recently purchased and there will be a lot of renovations and updates which will probably help. If you want to be away from the coast it is a great place, but if you want to be closer to the water, there are other places which are closer.

“Great Hotel.....Location OK”

Best hotel in Buzio from others that I've seen except location was Ok. About a 5-10 minute walk to the downtown area which you would have to do every night for dinner and such. There were also a few mosquitoes in our room that fed on me the three nights we were there. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was great every morning. The rooms were really nice and clean. Just the location was the setback. There were other hotels that were closer to downtown I would've probably rather stayed at.

“only problem, no in room wifi. otherwise EXCELLENT”

as above, the hotel, staff, and surroundings are wonderful. I only wish they had in-room wifi. there IS free wifi in the lobby, but in room would be better.

“A éviter”

Nous avions réservé une "SUITE PRINCIPALE" non-fumeur, étage élevé avec vue sur la baie. A notre arrivée, le réceptionniste, tout juste aimable, nous a attribué la chambre 14, au rez de chaussée, enfouie dans la végétation. Nous lui avons demandé la possibilité d'avoir une chambre avec une vue plus dégagée, impossible, ensuite nous a été attribué la chambre 10 "BASIC" qui empestait le tabac froid et non une "SUITE PRINCIPALE". Cette chambre était beaucoup plus petite que celle pour laquelle nous avons payé notre séjour, avec une minuscule salle de bain très mal agencée, les toilettes se trouvant juste devant la porte de la douche avec un tout petit passage entre les toilettes et le lavabo ? Les draps, le linge de toilette, et les peignoirs,ne sont plus blancs depuis longtemps, ils sont gris et tachés. Nous nous attendions à un petit déjeuner avec des fruits frais, seulement un petit bol de salade de fruits, étonnant, dans un pays qui regorge de fruits succulents ??? En résumé, le réceptionniste préférait passer du temps sur internet au lieu de s'occuper des clients, nous voulions du change, il n'en avait pas, tout ce que nous lui avons demandé, il était incapable de nous rendre le service. ce qui a contribué à gâcher notre séjour à Buzios. Parmi tous les hôtels ou nous avons séjourné au Brésil, c'est le SEUL qui nous a laissé un très mauvais souvenir.
