“Bare Bones Basic Hotel”
we recently stayed at the Burnsville, Minnesota LivInn hotel. For those who don't want to spend money on accomodations, then this would be a place to go. The room was clean and has your basic amenities. The drawbacks are minor but for what you pay, it's not too bad. The shower/toilet was in a small space that had no fan so it can become steamy in there quite quick. There is no continental breakfast but only free coffee in the lobby along with the daily newspaper. The chairs in our room looked a bit tattered and torn. The hotel though is close to a few eating places like Timberlodge steak House which is next door, Hooters a half block away and the Chinese Gourmet a block away. There are also two full service gas stations in the area so you are not short on places to eat. The hotel is easily accessible off 35W. This is bare bones basic accomodation but it works if you do not plan to stay at a posh hotel while in the Twin Cities.
“Can't get into the room”
Key cards would not open the rooms - even the hotel staff were unable to open the room with their master card. Asked for wake-up call and was assured they would call - they didn't. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The express breakfast was not worth eating.
“Value for your Money”
-The good Its good value hotel for your money. Close to everything. -The bad We could smell smoke on our non-smoking room. The shower didn't have constant temperature.
“low budget”
pretty low budget with overall cleanliness of room and how well everything works questionable..other guests i ran into stated same feelings as mine..very stingy with needed amenities such as toilet paper, soap and shampoo..the staff seemed pleasant..
