Reasonable hotel
Tribeca Studios was a reasonable choice if you need to stay in that general location. It is within walking distance to a few good parks and the local Natural History Museum, but those are the only big draws. The lobby and reception are clean and nice. The rooms are large, but mine was quite dirty. In particular the walls are scuffed up. My room had a balcony, but the door blocked the noise from the street poorly. If you plan on staying here bring ear plugs. The breakfast each morning is ok. It has a selection of breads, yogurts, teas, and coffee. The highlight is the staff, although most cannot speak English, some can and all of them are exceptionally kind. They made the stay much better.

Zthis is NOT a hotel
Although prepaid, we could not stay even the first night. The sliding doors in the ground floor did not close. The room was dirty. Staff was so nice to tell you they could not do anything about anything. Felt completely unsafe, specially with inability to close outside door. It should be rated as a low quality hostel not as a hotel. My first unhappy situation with hotels.com

Two Weeks with Mixed Emotions
We traveled to Argentina to visit and see the new grandbaby. Wanted location more than anything in our decisions to be close to the baby. We choose Tribeca Studios. Location for us to visit the baby were great. The room was average until the bed. Sheets were below average abd did not fit the bed. Spent most of the night sleeping on the mattress. Fitted sheet was not in the program. Only provided partial use of the room as hot plate was extra amount. Had to ask for toaster and coffee pot as they were not in room as described. Thye hot plate needs to be removed from their description if not provided. The bathroom and tub and shower had a very up to date 1/3 glass wall and this was insufficient to retain the water in the shower area and flooded the bathroom floor during every shower. Breakfast was in the lobby in the form of a buffet and after three dasys the Desk attendant, advised " MY PARTNER AND I HAVE DISCUSSED IT AND YOIU DID NOT PAY THE RATE FOR BREAKFAST" Nice Fellow that was not helpful in anything. The rest of the staff went out of their way to help us and assist us when needed. Jose from Bolivia was excellent, and Ernest was good to us and helpful. Definitely choose the room on the back side as the noise from the street is loud. Maids also responded when asked for something. The refrigerator provided was also beow standards and should have been replaced many years ago. Nothing was near cold and only luke warm in the refrigerator. When asked toi have it checked we were advised that this was all they had available. Photos we observed on the internet were very nice. For instanbce the patio shot were in the two ground rooms only. The balcony consisted of an area 4 by 12 with the condenser unit in this area. It was nice when it got cool as the heat from the condenser provided warmth on the balcony. Of couse,when it was hot it added to the heat. In the end I would recommend this property if you have transportation, and need this location for your trip. Not real close and easy to access transportation other than taxi or remise(private transportation). More questions as to ADD ONS need to be asked prior to booking and it might be helpful as to getting the proper deal expected or desired on the trip.
