“A great place to stay”
I loved this place and had a really peaceful stay. It's a refurbished 1930s building - meaning that it's really solidly built. There are just four rooms on each floor and a extra lobby type door prevented any noise from the central gate lifts or stairs. There was also no noise coming through from other rooms - doors being slammed, wardrobes banging, people generally clomping around at all hours, and so on. Once I was in my room I couldn't hear a thing - tremendous! The rooms are huge and well appointed. The air con worked like a dream - important as was 35 degrees plus on each day of my stay. I really couldn't have asked for more. The staff were very helpful and the continental breakfasts were perfectly adequate. The restaurant was undergoing some sort of relaunch in Jan 2010. So I didn't get to eat there. But it looked as though it'll be great when it re-opens. The hotel is perfectly placed on the edge of San Telmo, Microcentro and Puerto Madero; meaning that all three were within walking distance. Oh... and I loved the stained glass windows in the stairwell! I want one.
“GREAT !!!!”
I had an excellent time at the Moreno. The service at the Front Desk was supreme. My room looked very clean and comfortable. Loved my maid too :) I also realized the location in San Telmo is perfect if you're on holidays (even on bussiness). Pablo and Eduardo were so helpful arranging reservations everywhere. I found an excellent rate by Expedia. Overall experience: GREAT! Hope to come back soon.
“Nice, Clean Hotel, Convenient Location, Huge Rooms”
The Hotel is steps away from the main square of the city; Plaza de Mayo. Rooms are specious. Never been in a city Hotel with such a large room. European style bathrooms are chic. Staff is very helpful and informative. 24 hours security at the door. Breakfast in the wine restaurant at the ground floor of the Hotel. Nice. Strongly recommended.
“Enjoyed our stay”
We really enjoyed our stay in this Hotel. The room was large with a very comfortable bed, luxurious linens and a great view. The staff was very professional and helpful. We had one of our best meals in Buenos Aires at the Hotel restaurant. This is the place to stay if you want to explore San Telmo and visit the Plaza Dorrego market on Sundays. Everything is within walking distance.
“Great hotel, would stay there again”
Large beautiful hotel room right in between the heart of historic Buenos Aires, San Telmo, and Puerto Madero.
“Enjoyed our stay”
It was a great location - easy access to taxis and the subway. The room was spacious & clean. The staff were courteous & helpful. The only thing we were disappointed about was that the hot tub on the roof terrace was not operating when we were there.
“This is Buenos Aires”
We booked the Moreno Hotel for the last night of our 3 week vacation in Argentina and Uruguay. For us, the hotel was the perfect way to end a wonderful vacation. From it's historical art deco facade to the beautiful modern and large rooms, Moreno provided us with the comfort and ease we needed to prepare ourselves for the long journey home. Located in the historical San Telmo with it's incredible Antique shopping was an added bonus! I would definately recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future! Also, the buffet breakfast was delicious and the service very polite and attentive!
“Biggest room I've ever stayed in”
Beautiful hotel!! Everyone there was friendly and very helpful.
“Excellent stay!”
I've had a great stay at the Moreno. It has a perfect average between price and quality. This is a very nice hotel, like many others. But here both service and cleanliness are excellent. And I also would say that the ideal location, whether you are on holidays or on business (a combination of both in my case). Breakfast is being served on the beautiful terrace, due to they are remodeling the restaurant. Somebody told me that there is a musical about Evita's life in the theater of the hotel, I have not had time to go and see it. I will stand out the attitude and service of all at the Front Desk, who have been very kind to me. I had a problem with my passport on the day of check out, and they lent me their great support. The maid was very sweet too. Thanks to the staff in general, and hope to return very soon!
“Hotel Moreno à Buenos Aires, excellent rapport qualité, prix et situation géographique!”
Hôtel super très bien situé. Près des grandes places du centre-ville de Buenos Aires. La vue de la ville de notre chambre était superbe! Nous le recommandons!
