“Tout à fait bien sauf...”

L'hôtel est juste en face de la gare et est très bien en lui-même, sauf qu'actuellement juste à ses pieds il y a un gros chantier qui fait beaucoup de bruit. Les fenêtres sont à double vitrage alors c'est moins grave, surtout que je crois qu'il y a la climatisation. La quartier n'est pas folichon, comme tous les abords de gare, mais il y a à 10 minutes de marche un grand centre commercial super moderne, et au moins 2 bons restaurants, dont l'un m'a été recommandé par l'hôtel, à 5 minutes de là. Pour les fauchés, il y a aussi MacDo et Burger King.

“Convenience and Comfort”

I have stayed here in the past. The renovations have made a real difference, and the only disturbing thing is the (current) street/plaza construction in front of the hotel. But the hotel is only steps from the East Train Station, is on major bus and subway routes, and provides a pleasant base for a visit to beautiful Budapest!

“Good Value”

A good hotel, staff friendly, breakfast good, overall great value for money. Surrounding area bit of a building site at the moment (Nov 09) given the construction of the new underground station. Keleti station will get you to just about anywhere, quickly. Watch out for the bar to the left of the hotel - the staff are extremely rude and unfriendly. Have never experienced anything quite like it.

“Nice place to stay”

Once again I was cautious about booking with some reviews but really there is nothing wrong with this hotel at all. It's not a fancy place but your not paying fancy place place prices so deal with it.

“a deux stations de metro du centre ville”

Grace a sa cour intérieur l'hotel est très calme on n'entend aucun bruit venant de la rue ce qui est appréciable en plein centre ville.

“Une petite halte à Budapest”

Superbe ville. Hôtel bien situé (en face d'une belle gare), métro à proximité. Petits déjeuners extras. Un grand centre commercial à 10 minutes à pieds avec de nombreuses boutiques et des fast food. Personnel sympathique ; seul bémol : notre chambre située juste à côté de la cage d'ascenseur !! Bruyant ! (N° 607 !)

“Baross City Hotel”

It was such a shoddy hotel and the staff there were terrible. So unfriendly and unhelpful. Her knowledge of her own city was also terrible and didn't know where anything was. Breakfast was advertised as being the best american breakfast in town... if you like rubbery eggs and frankfurters in water then this is the place for you! It was at least clean but it was some distance from the river (about 40 minute walk) Budapest though is a wonderful city if you can avoid being scammed but one of the locals in the touristy areas so I would recommend going to the city but not the hotel!
