“comfortable apartment-style rooms in a convenient area”
This guesthouse is actually part of an apartment building, and so the rooms are themselves apartments. The one in which I stayed was very well furnished with, among other things, kitchen, washing machine, and balcony onto the quiet central courtyard. There's a subway stop about two blocks away, and it's only about three stations to the center of the city and one or two more into the castle district. Nice place overall.
“can't wait to go back”
we were surprised how good this place was, we'd been traveling europe, staying in small hotels when we got here and found a little gem, complete with full kitchen and everything. Staff were very helpful and friendly, spoke great english. great location with nearby metro and good resturants nearby and at a very good price - so good we stayed an extra night!

“Consistently excellent”
We've stayed at Agape several times, sometimes for one night, sometimes for several days. We've never had a complaint, except that the beds tend to be a bit soft. The kitchens always have all necessary dishes, there's always a coffee maker and fridge, and sometimes there's even a toaster. (By the way, there's a grocery store called Match at Blaha Lujza ter). Be warned that you should bring at least some cash to the check-in because there is a 3000 HUF (~$15) deposit for the key, as well as deposits for things like hair dryers. The location is convenient to the red line, and there are bars and restaurants and landmarks nearby. The staff is always extremely friendly, and they all speak English, in our experience.
“AWESOME VALUE”
Staff speak good english. Got a free map of the city. Although situated near the dirty edges of district 8 (one to avoid at night by the way), this is definitely an area you can feel safe in. Room was huge!! had our own facilities and kitchen. Tv had channels in english!! Very close to everything- we didn't need public transport at all. Right next to a great pizza place, down the road from a burger king and a supermarket! We were on the 6th floor, had a decent view.

Nous avons été agréablement surpris par notre appartement hôtel. Une chambre spacieuse, une cuisine agréable avec four, plaque électrique, mico-onde, réfrigérateur et congélateur. Il y avait vraiment tout le nécessaire et le superflu. Nous gardons l'adresse pour un autre séjour.
“Overall: Apartment Very Satisfactory”
Apartment comparies favorably with others we rented throughout Eastern Europe. Desk staff were helpful. Location was very central to what we wanted to visit. We would stay here again if we were to visit Budapest in the near future. If it is not luxury you are looking for, but basic comforts at a reasonable price, you'll find it here.
“warning to all guys!”
brilliant place to stay as long as you only go to the old man pub and then to bed! DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE STRIP BAR! and you will have a great time.
“Excellent trip”
For travellers on a budget, this hotel is ideal. The rooms were very clean and modern, with all facilities. Shops are nearby for any supplies and Deac Ferenc Ter square is only 15 minutes walk away for access to the transport system for sightseeing, although much of the city can be seen on foot. Local bars and restaurants are plentiful, with a wide choice of local and international food.
“Fab break in Budapest”
We really enjoyed our stay in Budapest. Apartment was lovely and clean with great facilities if you want to self cater. Location excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.
