“Loved this hotel in Budapest.”
We were delighted to start our trip in Romania at the Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding our activities around Budapest and making sure we were comfortable. They helped us get tickets to the Presidential Palace, as well as restaurante reservations. Our room was extremely comfortable with a fantastic view, yet was about one third the price of similar rooms in other parts of Europe. Romania is a delightful country to visit, with extremely friendly people. We highly recommend the country as well as this beautiful hotel..
“Very comfortable hotel with a vast view from the balcony”
Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel. One thing I did not like is the waiter's atitude when I tried to pay with Maestro card for the dinner at the restaurant at the hotel. The card did not go through, the waiter was very cold for that the fact the card was rejected. Actually the card was rejected because of the secturity reason; because it was used in Rumania.
“Expedia bargain at best hotel in Bucharest.”
An InterContinental with all the amenities of that chain with a good location, and everyone speaks English. Best of all, I found out that the Expedia price was about $80 less than the regular fee when I had to extend a day.
“Wonderful Hotel and Staff”
Our 6-night stay at the InterContinental Bucharest was excellent. All employees were professional, helpful and respectful. We dealt extensively with Monica at the Concierge desk to set up a tour to Transylvania and a one-day excursion to Russe, Bulgaria. Her help was beyond expectation. The tour was in a luxury car with a driver and an English-speaking tour guide all to ourselves. Both experiences were incredible, and at reasonable prices. There was really nothing more we could ask for. We ate two times at Modigliani Restaurant in the hotel and the food was fantastic. The pool and spa on the 22nd floor were clean and offered a great view of Bucharest. We opted for the breakfast plan and were glad we did. There is such a variety of fresh food that I did not eat the same thing twice in the six days there. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, I must say that the InterContinental breakfast was by far superior to that of other 5 star hotels. The hotel itself is in the centre of the city, with a metro stop right outside. It is within walking distance of the old city with great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. We travelled with our six-year-old daughter and felt safe at all times. This was a beautiful hotel in a very beautiful city.
“Amazing”
If you're visiting Bucharest, stay here. Amazing in every aspect of the service aspect.
“First class hotel”
Hotel in convenient location, with first class facilities.
“great value”
I recently spent 4 nights here while on vacation visiting a friend. I chose IC because of the central location and what I thought was a very fair price (I booked nearly 2 months in advance). I do not have much experience with hotels of this class as here in the US a place like this would be out of my price range. My room was immaculate, and what I saw of the rest of the hotel appeared very nice as well. I ordered room service a couple of times, which was prompt, reasonably priced, and delicious. The staff were all very pleasant , and quite helpful the few times that I needed them. I didn't use any of the amenities in the hotel such as restaurants, so I won't comment there. My days were spent out in the city itself. The location is very convenient. Some have commented on the noise, the hotel is located on a very busy thoroughfare. I was on the 8th floor, and while the street noise was noticeable, it was not enough to disturb me. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“Pretty good business hotel”
Good central location at University Square. First class service from staff.
“Best Hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere”
Wonderful location, friendly and welcoming atmosphere... and the warmest and most helpful of staff made the stay very pleasant indeed. Highly recommended.
“Good Hotel”
Hotel is old but vvery well kept. The service was OK, within the required standards for a 5 stars. Centrally located and plennty of parking available. I would definitelly stay again.
