“Needs a lot of work...”

The only reason this hotel gets a 3 from us is due to the location. The beach in the back of the resort was wonderful. However- the rooms and overall condition of the hotel was terrible. Our room had to have repairs done the day we checked in due to the shower rod coming out of the drywall. The hot tub did not work and had caution tape around it. The overall maintenance was not well kept at all- I am not sure if they had a maintenance man as the front desk guy was the mainenance man? The free breakfast was nice and fast- we really enjoyed making our own waffles. This place could be really great if they would spend some time and money renovating.

“Clean room. Hotel staff uninformed.”

The location of the hotel in Ocean Isle is ideal. The room was clean. The furniture could have been more comfortable. Seated, the table top was at my chest level. Also, there could have been more room around the table for the area to be functional. The staff was uninformed about the area. Both desk attendants couldn't answer simple questions about the area, give driving directions to local eateries, or even know much about hotel policies such as late check-in. The reason given for their lack of knowledge was that they were not from the area.
