This was a excellent hotel at a good price ands location right next to the metro made access to the city extremely easy.

“Hotel in quiet area of Stockholm”

This hotel is located very close to Alvik metro station in a quiet area which makes it a good base for exploring Stockholm. The room was very spacious and was very comfortable with double galzing making it very quiet. The breakfast was without doubt one of the best I have had with a great choice and variety to suit all tastes.

We had a fantastic time, staff were helpful and very polite, the hotel was in the perfect location, the breakfast buffet delicious and the rooms clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm!!! By the way the dinner we had was also fantastic!

“Scandic Alvik ROCKS!!!”

I had a great stay at the Scandic Alvik. They were very hospitable, assisting, and polite. The room wasn't as small as the pics made them out to be. We were able to fit 3 grown men (6'3", 6'1", and 5'11") in there. They were also very assisting in helping us get around and explaining things to us.

“Clean and Close to Train Station”

Hotel is very clean, comfortable with a small gym/sauna. It was very close to the train station (about 5 min walk) and the complimentary buffet breakfast was AWESOME. There's also a supermarket across the street. Train ride to the city center is about 10 mins.

“Excellent, convenient and (by Stockholm standards) good value hotel”

I stayed for 7 nights and found this to be an excellent hotel, conveniently situated only a few hundred yards from the underground / tram station at Alvik with trains every few minutes taking less than 20 minutes to the centre of Stockholm. The room was somewhat sparsely furnished in a minimalist style but was in excellent condition in terms of both maintenance and cleanliness. The buffet breakfasts were also excellent - typical scandinavian style with cerials, boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, bread (many types), jam, tea, coffee, juices. Yes (to counter a very few reviews here) if you turn up 5 minutes before the buffet ends there was sometimes a slightly smaller selection of some items, but there was still plenty of choice. I am unlikely to return to Stockholm just because there is so much of the rest of the world I still have to see, but if I did I would definitely stay here again.

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil, la clarté, la restauration. Une seule petite ombre au tableau... Le nombre important de jeunes sportifs parfois bruyants, y compris jusqu'à des heures tardives... Mais il faut bien que jeunesse se passe!

Great value for money. Pleasant staff. Would happily return to this hotel. Very generous hot & cold Buffet breakfast to set you up for even the coldest winters day ahead.
