Could not fault the hospitality/politeness of reception staff and also honesty of cleaning/maint personal...firstly arrived early/mid morning (after interstate midnight redeye flight) intended to store luggage until the 2pm checkin time. My room was surprisingly available and ready, staff offered early checkin right there with no extra charge and without my request.
Hospitality didn't stop there. Constantly answering any question or forfilling requests I had with no dramas.
A week after checking out realised i left my iPad behind and contatcted hotel and after answering a few ID queries they freighted it to me straight away.
A spotless room with all you need in a top end hotel room. Although, as a solo business traveller, The Point doesn't offer much outside your room. For example, there isn't an area for a casual coffee and to do some reading or work on my laptop during the day. There is a restaurant, although it is quite formal. My room was on the freeway side of the building, so had the constant traffic noise to contend with - day and night. The beds are beautifully soft and luxurious, although for me, this triggered a back complaint - too soft.
Quiet room - I couldn't hear people in neighbouring rooms. Lovely balcony although a bit noisy due to traffic in street below - however, when the balcony door was closed, this was blocked out. If you like fresh air, I found I could leave the balcony door open at night and the noise didn't carry to the bedroom - for me this was a real bonus! I loved the location - I could walk to shops, numerous restaurants and the botanic gardens. The kitchen facilities were great and the apartment was very spacious. Great bath - nice and deep. There was nothing I didn't like about the room.
