"Will be going back ! Great boutique hotel"
We loved this hotel. Really friendly staff, great bar, all the rooms have a different vibe (we stayed in 'N' but were able to look around 4) , the huge bathtub was a treat, breakfast perfectly cooked - not sure we would change a thing. Going to book the room 'D' next time :-)

"Fantastic hotel, view and staff!"
From a call the night before arrival and our room moved based on my wife being 8 months pregnant, Drakes could not have done more to make our stay perfect! We stayed with our nearly 3 year old son and were celebrating my wife's bd. So when our video monitor to check our sleeping son couldn't get a signal down in the restaurant, they setup a table in the bar, albeit on a Monday evening, they did it without making us feel like we were being awkward in the process. Everyone was so friendly and we will definitely be back!!

"Good hotel amazing breakfast"
Lovely clean hotel . Rooms on the small side and the bed not quite big enough although comfy. Staff were delightful and our breakfast was first class. Compares very favourably with most hotels I've stayed in. Would definitely go back but would ask for the larger room I saw on the ground floor with hopefully a larger bed !

"Saturday night at the Cavalaire"
I was looking for a nice hotel for my other half’s Birthday. I came across Cavalaire which was fairly priced, included a four poster bed, all mod cons and close enough to everything you need. Upon arrival Derek and Garry who run Cavalaire wasted no time at all in building up a friendly rapport with us and very quickly felt like old friends. Drinks offered on arrival, case carried up to the room and local area recommendations provided...... you can’t ask for more. We had a lovely stay and couldn’t fault the hotel or the owners, we also had a lovely breakfast and they we're happy to tweak the menu to suit what we fancied. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Pocket Guide: Brighton, East Sussex Boutique Hotels

On the south English coast, Brighton is a popular beach destination, especially with Londoners as the train ride between the two cities is less than an hour. The seafront has bars, restaurants, nightclub,s and amusement arcades, as well as two old-fashioned piers. Brighton hosts the Brighton Festival each May, which is the UK's second-largest arts festival.
