“Convenience and value for money”

Hotel Europe Garni in Brig provides excellent convenience and value for money. It is directly opposite the major junction train station (with links to ski fields), walking distance to old town restaurants and offers quality basic comforts for budget conscious travellers. Wide-ranging TV coverage, as well as radio, quality breakfast included and free wifi. Very attentive hosts. More practical than stylish, it offers an excellent choice of basic accommodation.

“A VERY GOOD HOTEL IN AN EXTREMELY CONVENIENT LOCATION”

The HOTEL EUROPE in Brig is situated about 200 metres from the main railway station; also the railway line which serves Zermatt. The owners are friendly and the hotel is quiet and efficiently run. The rooms are adequate, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms excellent. The breakfast, served between 7 and 10am is good. I would strongly recommend this hotel. From the railway station there are direct trains to Geneva every half hour, also to Bern and Zurich. The world-famous Glacier Express also passes the hotel. There are direct trains to Italy. By Swiss standards the hotel rates are reasonable, and provide value-for-money. I would definitely stay there again.

“OK hotel”

I dint see any 3* standards in the hotel, but i shud say it served my purpose of 2 decent beds and OK bathroon. Zermatt was way too expensive during the Easter weekend and far off from my burget of pound50-60, hence i had to look for alternate location. Brig is quite well connected to Zermatt and to other locations in Swiss.
