"Nice hotel that is very close to the ferry."
My husband and I had a great stay at the Country Inn and Suites. We were finishing up our vacation on the Isle of Taboga and decided to come into Panama City a day early. We wanted to do some sightseeing and make sure we had time to catch our flight the following day. We chose the hotel because it was close to the ferry dock and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was close to the old town and within walking distance of the Biodiversity Museum. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Panama.

"Nice, quiet resort not too far from everything."
Not one of the nicest beaches in terms of sand quality. Also, the ocean isn't the turquoise blue color like you would find in other tropical locations. When it's low-tide, there are lots of rocks. But you can see the ships in the distance waiting to go through the canal and a few mountains. So, the view is more interesting. It's still nice to be on a beach. They offer FREE kayaking. The ocean is calm there, so it's safe. The pools are excellent. There is a swim-up bar. The hotel is a great facility. Clean, comfortable rooms. The staff is helpful and greets you with a smile. Not all of them speak English, so it wouldn't hurt to brush up on some basic Spanish. The meals are not included and they are expensive, but the food is excellent. There is a nice gift shop for souvenirs. A bar where you can dance or karaoke. I was only there for three nights. I spent my time at the beach, in the pool or in Panama City. You need to drive or take a taxi to go anyplace because there is nothing within walking distance. If you love to shop, go to the Allbrook Mall. A very colorful and attractive mall with lots of great stores. Visit Old Panama City and spend time on the weekend down at the waterfront park. Lots of people walking around and there are vendors selling food, drinks, snacks and souvenirs. Of course, go to the Panama Canal! A must see! In my opinion, this resort is ideal for young familes, couples or those who enjoy a quiet place to take a vacation.

"Good Hostal near of Casco Panama"
The environment of the hotel is great. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby that are good. The only downside is the comfort of the beds and the shower but no big deal. The rooms are a nice size, just a little outdated. The location of the hotel is great. The Manager or the boss ¨i do not know ¨ was exceptional!!!! Only Cons : The floor is the ugliest thing i ve ever seen.

"Lovely hotel in the old part of town"
Lovely hotel (perhaps my favorite in the Ace hotel group) in the middle of the very walkable old part of town. Service is friendly if a little lacking - but relatively speaking, much better than other hotels in Panama. Make sure to experience it properly by getting the bigger rooms with a balcony.

"Nice hotel with large suites in a great location."
I would have gave them 5 stars across the board but this hotel might be hard for some people to stay in. Lots of stairs to most of the rooms.

"Cheaper but central"
Most of the staff were friendly. Almost no one spoke English, but I could communicate with my basic Spanish. The a/c works, but the restaurant was closed for renovations and opened on my last day there! A repetitive breakfast 'sandwich' with coffee was served in my room for over a week. The hotel is secure! and there are lots of shops and places to eat nearby. With many police 24/7 the area is absolutely safe. You can walk the subway station but the roads are extremely busy and a bit hazardous to cross. Taxis abound! The area is very very noisy and the windows are only single glazed so you can hear noise all night. The seafood market is a 5 minute walk and a long (car-free) shopping street is around the corner.

"Quaint and Charming"
Loved this little boutique hotel! Great location, within walking distance of lots of sights and restaurants in Casco Viejo. Staff were helpful and extremly friendly. Beds were very comfy and rooms were modern and clean. We had a little balcony that overlooked the street...but it wasn't noisy at all. 5 out of 5!

Nice hotel joining onto the mall. The hotel is very clean and very close to the domestic airport. Rooftop pool well kept. Would need to get a taxi to most restaurants unless you are eating at the mall. Taxis very easy to get from the mall if you don't want the hotel to get you one. Great for a one night stop over.

"Comfortable hotel in a decent location"
Expedia chose this hotel for me so I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The beds were huge with firm mattresses and fluffy pillows. Linens and towels were clean. The AC was nice and cold--so cold that we had to turn it off for about an hour in the middle of the night. The shower had excellent water pressure and the water was refreshingly room-temperature. (A tip: leave the bathroom door closed overnight. The heat warms up the towels so that when you step out of the shower you can wrap yourself up in cozy warmth.) The TV and cable were easy to control and there were plenty of channels with which to entertain ourselves, though we only watched TV for a couple of hours. Also, there was plenty of storage space in the room, though we did not use it. The hotel is located only a few blocks from the Coastal Beltway, a jogging trail along Avenida Balboa. The neighborhood didn't seem the safest, but Calle 28 houses both a police and a fire station, and there is a pedestrian bridge nearby for safe crossing of the Avenida. Across the street from the hotel is a huge department store called El Machetazo, and there are a few restaurants nearby, including a reasonably-priced 24-hour diner next door to Hotel Acapulco on Calle 30. The pool was closed for "renovations" and our complementary breakfast only included two people, but the $5 for our third guest included eggs, sausage, a pancake, bread, cheese, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. Breakfast service was great!
