I've stayed in Breda dozens of times over the years and was aware of the Bliss hotel, but never stayed there. This trip the hotels I typically stay at were fully booked, so i gave the Bliss a try. The experience was excellent and I plan to stay there on future visits. The new proprietors offer a premier lodging experience in a great location.

Hotel is located in a former convent which makes it a standout compared to the usual Quality or Comfort Inn type motels. We had to share the bathroom and shower with 4 other guests. If you don't like that, this is not a good place to stay, but if you don't mind to wait sometimes you have a great opportunity to stay at a very affordable price.
Beds were perfect, Wifi also and the free breakfast was the best I've seen in a long time (It looked like we were in the Hilton)

The hotel is in a great position in the main town square. It is a lovely old building but has been extremely well refurbished to stay in the style but give modern facilities. Staff were friendly and all able to help us with the language. We sp0ent 3 nights there during a large music festival. We were given a room at the back of the hotel as we asked for a quiet room. The front rooms would be nice on another occasion but the festival was very noisy and ran on until 1 am.

This is a VERY strange hotel/spa concept with no identity or : the building is shared with a school and another business. Rooms are very basic, with poor lighting and uncomfortable beds & pillows. Although they are only a couple kilometers from Etten-Leur's city center & train station, they don't have a shuttle bus. You must have a car, or be prepared to wait a while for a cab which will charge you an arm and a leg. Their restaurant has a very limited menu, barely no choices for vegetarians, is pricey and several items on the menu are not available. Several phones don't work and they keep changing you from room to room instead of fixing it. It just give you the impression they are not ready for business and are really learning how to manage a hotel with people who are not prepared for it. Do yourself a favor, and stay in Breda.
