“Ashley Gardens BIG4 Holiday Village”

I would consider this as an OK place to stay, but it is nothing luxury nor 4-star. The location is not too far from downtown Melbourne and there is a safeway next door, which makes it very convenient as it includes a kitchen for you to cook.

“Just OK”

This accommodation is just OK. I would not rate it as a 4 or 4.5 star at all. It just an average accommodation. In general it is clean and that is what you need. The bed is comfortable to sleep on except for the aircond and the ceiling fans were too noisy. The location is just perfect.

“Be weary of overseas advertising!”

When viewing Ashley Gardens online it seemed like the perfect spot for me and 3 of my friends. Coming from New Zealand and Alaska this was going to be our meeting point. As we could not view the property in person, we trusted what they had to view and offer online. We booked a family cabin which from the photos looked very nice clean and acceptable. Upon arrival, we found it to be a big let down. The dishware provided was dirty, the ants were very present in cupboards, closets, etc. even when we kept the food sealed and took the trash out each day. We had to ask for clean towels from the front office every day, make up your own beds upon arrival and last but not least you had to pay a $10 spa fee which was not told about on the website. All amenities are shown, but hidden fees exist everywhere. The internet service provided was sub-par as the keyboards did not work properly and half the time was spent trying to type one word as you watched your $2 waste away of a few precious 15 minutes of usage. Based on the location and experience of staying over 1 week, I would not recommend this campground to any family, couples, or persons looking for a place to stay. It was a complete letdown. 4 stars way overrated! The neighborhood that this campground lies in is very rundown and one you feel you have to watch your back at every corner.
