A trip to the past
It was very clean but very sterile and looked like it had no upgrade since the 70's. Not sure it is 4 Star quality. 10am checkout is a bit unusual. A/C in the room was a welcome surprise as was a room upgrade b/c the room we reserved was not available. Good deal for the price.

A lovely hotel outside of the city centre
Quite a big hotel a couple of miles outside the historic centre, in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. (Accessible by tram (No.9) approx 12 stops - 18 mins @ a cost of 90 cents) Room was quite spacious, with balcony, comfortable beds and basic bathroom. AC worked a treat. Breakfast buffet was great. Hotel atmosphere is very laid back.

The visit was a pleasant surprise. Super clean, beds were comfortable, the humor on the signs and in the pamphlets was great. Breakfast was also very good and to include a gluten free bread was unexpected but a great treat.

Nice, modern room and facilities, although no kettle in the room. Our room had a balcony. Helpful, friendly staff. Great choice at the buffet breakfast. Big car park, but we had to pay extra to use it. The hotel is about 3km from city centre, but a taxi there only cost about 7 Euros. The only slight issue was that we found some ants in the shower room on the last mprning.

1 room great; 1 room okay
Great service and ease of check in. Only one room of our two connecting rooms had AC so the other room was hot and in the end we all slept in one room which nullified the need for 2 rooms. Overall ok, but it could have been better

Great hotel
Great hotel with good location (near public transport), very clean. The service is great and the cleanliness also. Quiet neighbor and also the rooms. A little bit lot of sun inside the room but with no big problems :)

First room given had been used by smoker. They said they didn't know but it should have been picked up when cleaned. Hairdryer fell apart in wife's hand exposing live electrical element and reported to cleaner. Bathroom very small, shower curtain too short and wet floor, No UHT milk for tea. Glad we only stayed one night!

At check in they didn’t ask about our preferences and gave us a very far room to the elevator while they see we are not young people. The room was given to us was double room with two narrow beds. They also charged us city tax for the hall stay at checkin time . Not recommended

If you value your night sleep this is not the place for you. The hotel has a conference room with a permition to do parties until the morning and if you get a room on the “wrong” side above the party you screwed. The hotel doesn’t inform you during reservation or check in about it (they said they don’t have to) so you will find out about it only at night when you’ll try to sleep (I think it’s very rude). The hotel is cheap and the breakfast is good but also very old and far from the center (don’t come without a car). Personally I don’t understand why hotel charges his guests for the private parking he own (7 Euro a day).

I will not stay this hotel again! The room had very bad smell. The TV was automatically turned on at around 4:00am when I was sleeping. There was one people knocked my door and opened it with other key without my permission at 8:00 in the morning. What’s wrong with this hotel?!

The hotel is stuck in the middle of a rather grubby and run-down housing estate. It’s a long way from the centre of the city if you’re using public transport.

Hotel Bratislava
Great breakfast and friendly staff. We didn't have a safety deposit box in the room and though they were usually available at reception - we had to wait 24hours. Not a massive issue, but if I stayed again I would ask in advance for a safety deposit box. The local area was 'residential' but their was a handy Tesco Express and some local restaurants. A short ride on public transport gets you to the heart of Bratislava so it is conveniently located.
