Felt More Like 4 Stars...
Pros: Dog-friendly, free parking, large & clean room. Restaurant food was good (heavy seafood) but portions tiny & pricey. Cons: Location (up on a hill overlooking the city, not walkable to Bratislava or to any other restaurants/shops). Spa/massage experience completely weird and unprofessional, almost like offering spa services was tacked on to round out an amenities list. A la carte breakfast unsatisfactory.

Another great stay!
My husband ans I go there every year and love it! Perfect communication prior to arrival. Nice professional staff, room (executive) quite large, nice deco, nice bathroom with l'Occitane products, great choice of pillows, comfortable beds and a terrasse. We love the wellness area which is limited to 6-7 people. Think of sending a mail before hand to reserve a time. Breakfast great. If you want to get into the old town, simply take the bus across the street or a taxi.

Really nice spa with fantastic facilities. Location not ideal but that was our poor research. Easily accessible on public transport however. Some variability in how friendly staff were, but not a major issue.

Lovely hotel
The hotel was really nice. Excellent spa which is small but they make sure never gets crowded and the facilities were excellent. Room was nice, quite basic but we did get the cheapest room. Very clean and the bath products were l'occitane which was amazing. The restaurant was very good.

Fantastic hotel, would highly recommend (especially the restaurant). Not quite the 5* experience though - but then when you look at the price we paid, I was certainly very pleased with the value for money!

Wonderful stay
Great hotel tucked away near Bratislava castle. Nice, clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Excellent, Michelin star standard restaurant. The unlimited use of the spa facility was a great bonus, and the massages are well worth it - excellent service. Location is a little out for siteseeing.

Beautiful night view
It was just a 1 night stay but pleasant and comfortable one. The night view from the window overlooking the hillside to the city is breathtaking. Overall quiet and feels welcomed. But do make reservation at the restaurant if you want to have lunch or dinner as it is in high demand. Food quality is good.

Stylish boutique hotel
We had a very comfortable stay and were very impressed by the hotel management and staff. The spa facility was amazing for a hotel of this size and the restaurant deserves it's reputation as one of the best in Bratislava. Reception staff were highly professional and keen to help with all our questions and requests.

great stuff but there is not basic hospitality tray in the rooms. i was in plenty of hotels all across the world and i never saw a room without hospitality tray with tea and kettle.

Nice, small hotel, 30-mins walk from city center!
The hotel is nice and comfortable in a residential area and a 30-minute walk to the castle and the town center. Staff is friendly and helpful with local area information; rooms are clean but a bid odd- shaped with angled ceilings; no elevator in the hotel; free parking. We wouldn't call it a five-star property, but worth the price.

Really liked the hotel and both the male reception staff were very friendly. We were helped with our luggage, as the Hotel doesn't have any elevators. Got an upgrade to a twin suite which was very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a terrace with a great view. Didn't get the same vibe from the lady who was at the desk the next day. Enjoyed the wellness center, SPA and the pool - very well maintained and clean. The wellness center has a sauna and a steam room. Need a reservation to use the facility, which made it difficult to fit with our schedule, but a terrible inconvenience. City center/ Castle/ Town square etc., are a 10 minute bus ride from the hotel and the bus stop is right outside. Getting the ticket is very easy and we were told how to by a very helpful receptionist. Restaurant was so so. Had breakfast the next morning, and was served by Robert who was NOT very friendly and service was poor. Food was standard and nothing stood out. Would recommend having food outside - lots of good places to eat in and around the city center.

The hotel is further away from the centre than I thought but is a €0.70 bus trip to the old town. The restaurant is ridiculous expensive. The staff were helpful but unusual. The beds weren't the most comfortable.

Ok, first of all, the hotel location is too much far from the city center and the main station. You must transit tram to the hotel. And hotel staff, they charged extra 40 euros by my credit card without my permmision after my stay eventhough i prepaid already on hotels.com. They said it was service charge when i ring them after for a while. Also they changed breakfast fees, please check up if you want to go this hotel. Overall it was not 5stars hotel. They try to charge everything! If you want to go to 5star hotel in Slovakia, just go to world chain hotel such as mercure, Austria trend sth..

We were there only one night. We loved it and we'd stay there again. The restaurant was terrific! The hotel and restaurant staff were great. Our only comment that isn't terrific was that the bed was too hard for our tastes.

Outstanding Gem
This is a truly outstanding five-star hotel. Our room was spacious and very creatively designed and tastefully appointed. The design and decor was contemporary -- not normally our preference, but this was truly exceptional. The price was a real bargain given the quality. The only drawback was the location, which was in a very safe residential neighborhood but not very convenient to the Old Town in Bratislava. However, the hotel can call a taxi for you, and there are also two bus lines that stop within 50 meters of the hotel and take you to the center.

The hotel restaurant was closed for a private party, forcing us to go downtown for dinner. When we returned to the hotel, the party's band played until 1 AM at a noise level that felt like they were in the room with us.

Wonderful hotel
Spent one night in Bratislava, Slovakia at Hotel Albrecht. Good location to ride trolleybus to Old Town and the Bratislava Castle. Nice room. Clean hotel. The hotel staff was so very helpful and friendly. They showed us how to purchase tickets for trolleybus, explained what we needed to know to get around. Helped us make phone calls. Took an interest in us personally and you don't find that level of service very often. Restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel and service were outstanding, but it is not located close to anything. Even the local taxi driver did not know how to find it!! Taking the bus dropped you at the front door, but we did not know that as visitors. Posting detailed instructions on how to reach the hotel from the train station would be helpful!

Posh hotel good spa but not too close to old town
Positives - clean modern room, posh hotel, good spa facilities, free parking, bus stop right outside for buses to old town 70c tkt one way Negatives - restaurant staff not friendly, no smile or hello. - food is expensive, I ordered a glass of wine and they charged me twice the displayed price saying it was 2 units, I didn't ask them to give me twice the qty! - it's a good 20 min walk to old town centre where they r loads of restaurants and return is uphill so even longer - room was small with an awkward wooden pillar and structure right next to the bed making it difficult to get out of bed from one side without being careful of hitting oneself. Wonder if they gave small rooms to expedia bookers as £51 per night seemed value deal for the hotel. I have experienced this b4 where room througg expedia are smaller in posh hotels - no complimentary water in room, generally most hotels in europe provide one per guest per day

We get there late evening,were looking fwd to have a nice dinner and a drink in the hotel restaurant and bar. Unfortunately both were shut due to private meeting. At least reception could inform us prior to our arrival so we would choose other restaurant, as they must know it at least couple days in an advance about oncoming restaurant and bar closure for accommodated guests.

When I booked the hotel, I had no idea what to expect. However, I checked in and experienced the the room design and all the designers' amenties that had plus the comforts. I am sure I will stay again at the Albrecht.

We enjoyed our 2 stays at this hotel, at each end of a travelling week but were disappointed about 2 things - the spa facilities were closed for maintenance on our second visit (the hotel had forewarned us but did not offer any reduction) - and the dining room/terrace/balcony area was booked out for private parties on both occasions so we ended up at the pizzeria (good) down the road

Unreal how awsome this hotel is.
I cant say enough - I didn't find a single weakness. The rooms were clean and modern, yet cozy and rustic. The restaruant food was top notch, very fine dining at a reasonable price. Location was close to most of Old Town, easily within walking distance. A great value as well - I have never stayed in a nicer hotel. I wish I could say something negative to make this review more believable... so, maybe... there is no elevator? But only two additional stories. What a great stay!

The location of the hotel is very good... only within walking distance from the castle and the city. Going back to the hotel is an uphill walk. The staff were excellent, very helpfull and knowledgeable about their city and the rest of the city and country. The Spa was great.

Great location close to our family's house
As usual we liked our stay and enjoyed the friendly staff. The room that was reserved for us was up in the loft and though we have requested a better room (with windows rather than skylights) we didn't get one though there was vacancy in the hotel during our stay there. We got this feeling that perhaps because we booked through Expedia and paid a lower rate, the room that was available to us was an inferior one. It is possible that a hotel would reserve a block of rooms for guests that book through travel agents offering deals. Otherwise we were happy with everything and hope to be back at Albrecht in the future.
