“A great stay”
We had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and waterslide. The only downside is that the hot tub wasnt' working. They had just done some major repairs and it wasn't up and running yet. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again.!!
“Comfortable.”
Very comfortable room, it was nice that with a suite we had indoor parking. The breakfast was included and was very good - nice options on the menu. I would have liked that my room card got me into the workout room and it was very small, but this is a common problem in hotels. Overall, I'd go back.
“We had a good time there.”
There was a room with four girls in it. They all had fun in the pool and the hot tub. Then we just went back to the room and watched a movie, we had to be up by 8:30. We did make use of the complimentary breakfast the next morning which was very good.

Great hotel. There was a pool to hang out at, the restaurant and lounge were inviting with great service.

We had a bit of a problem with the keycard - other than that our rating would be a 5. We booked in a hurry and had not stayed at the hotel previously. We were pleasantly surprised with the room, free breakfast and the value of our stay. The restaurant was good with generous portions and reasonable prices. We were traveling on business and recommend the Royal Oak to everyone.
“never again”
The airconditioning could no be turned down, and was too cold to sleep. Also the mini-fridge did not work and was leaking all over the ground. The front desk would not fix the problems nor did they offer any room or a discount. Also there is a night club in the parking lot, and you could not find parking in the evening.
“Horrible Service, Problems, problems”
It took us 3 attempts to check into our rooms as they were not ready. We requested an additional breakfast coupon for our daughter from the front desk manager (the manager!!) and she would not accomodate us, despite the 1.5hr wait to get into our rooms. When we did go down for breakfast the next morning, there was a 40min wait, breakfast was cold, very limited as they were running out, and very understaffed. The restaurant was littered with un-cleared tables, we had to find our own cutlery, coffee, glasses. I have never in all my travels seen such a poorly run establishment. The errors were clearly on the part of management. Their entire attitude was "we're stressed enough so don't expect us to have to deal with you." Not sure if they had a few staffing problems that weekend, but a well-run business does not fall apart because a couple of people phone in sick. We are in Brandon often, and I will never, ever stay at this place again.
