Country Motor Inn-Livingston, MT 814 East Park St.

Posted 2-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Your picture of the "Country Motor Inn" on your hotel.com site does not reflect what the real "Inn" looks like. This is a very rundown "Motor Inn" and next to a railway track where a train was parked all night and puffing (letting steam off from its engines). Needless to say, my husband and I did not sleep all night - therefore being exhausted for the 14 hours drive we had to do that day. I highly suggest that you take this Country Motor Inn on 814 East Park Street in Livingston, Montana "OFF YOUR LIST. I rate this Inn as a 1 (and I am generous). This "Country Inn" was overpriced.

Country Motor Inn

Cons: LOTS!
Location: Like I said, it was actually in very dumpy area of town (industrial I guess you could say). Amenities were nice and close by, however.
No shampoo; luckily manager/owner had a bottle left behind by someone previous. Had to take out my own garbage. Wifi was down nearly half the time. Curtains on main window didn't close properly. Microwave was difficult to use. No breakfast. Not in the nicest area of town either. Over all, I would never go there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

We like old town locations

We booked the night before and it was the only motel we could find online with two queens. The rate was slightly lower than the newer motels out by the highway but they were booked. The hotel is located directly across from the rail yard . The trains never stop twenty four hours a day. We found this interesting and not at all a nuisance with noise. This motel has been around for many years but has been renovated. It's not a fancy place just solid down home Montana. Clean, comfortable! Parking could be a problem as it seems there are more rooms than parking spaces. They could improve on the coffee bar I think. I like a good cup of coffee in the morning and can't stand powdered or non dairy creamer. Would have been nice to see real 1/2 n 1/2. Overall I would recommend...it served its purpose. Oh by the way, we left two pillows, one with an heirloom pillowcase. We called and they mailed them to us..Thought that was very nice of them! Go book!

Only OK. The shower door almost fell off. The front door clerk sat outside of our non smoking room SMOKING.

Wow it was worse than it looks

Where to begin. Location was terrible. The exterior worn down. Had to jiggle key to make door open. Ac didn't work. Shower door was broken. TV small. The bed was uncomfortable. Just don't go there.

No problems. Train activity could be distracting to some.

A place to sleep

Pros: Price
Cons: Better drapes. Renovate bathroom.
Not a great place. The drapes didn't block the exterior light so it was permanent dusk. Bathroom floor had a squishy floor. I think they put linoleum tiles over a rotted floor. But there is a Montana craft brewery two blocks away.
