“from the north end of Yellowstone”
We were pleased with the size of the room & location of the hotel. Breakfast was great!
“great”
wonderful park,love the animals
“Very nice and a great price!”
We had a niece traveling with us, (7 years old). The staff went out of their way for us, they had had a recent problem with their pool and had to have repairs done so were in the process of warming the water back up, made sure we knew the temperature might be cooler than normal and what time the pool would be back to regular operations which it was. Our little niece had a great time!
“Best of the West”
Very clean and tidy room, for the price it was an exceptional value. cy
“Good for basics”
Good hotel for a family, with a nice pool, satisfactory complimentary breakfast, and pleasant staff. Towels were easily found, and we enjoyed ourselves! This was a nice location while traveling around Yellowstone!
“Convenient to Livingston”
We had a very nice stay. We were there for 4 days. The room was a little outdated, not too many TV channels, old TV. But we loved the location, close walk to the park, downtown Livingston, and other shops. The price was right. The bedding and linen were comfortable. We liked the free continental breakfast, it wasn't fancy, no sausage or bacon but they did offer a full menu in the restaurant and it had a bar area too which was cozy. It has in indoor pool which was nice for kids. The staff was extremely friendly. One night someone had a yappy dog in the next rooom. The dog barked and yapped at anyone walking by. We called the lobby and reported the constant barking. It was silenced for the most part, at least the owners tried and we were able to get to sleep. The stafff were extremely friendly and efficicent. We would stay again.
“so so, didn't like broken elevator, waiter so-so, no water refills, had to ask for butter”
The overall motel was satisfying. The waiter did not refill the water, I drank both of our waters. No offer to refill other beverage. We had to ask for butter and sour cream - we were given a bare baked potato?? There was bread and butter on the menu, but we were told that " they don't serve bread and butter any more"..................why is it on the menu then???? The "supervisor" (?) on the evening shift July 19, was VERY know-it-all and somewhat abrupt! AND, she was wrong!?? I found her abrasive! On July 20, the maid did NOT empty the trash containers, I am not sure she wiped up the bathroom, she did not pick up trash bits/vacuum? It appeared that she only made the beds and replaced towels. Is that typical on a stay-over?? The elevator was broken at checkout time on July 21. The continental breakfast was ok-better than some, but not as nice as some. The beds were fine. The bedding was fine. I didn't use the pool. The motel was attractive inside and out. I probably would not eat in the restaurant again. It was nice to have a free accessible computer. Parking was fine. We did not bring an animal, but the cost of having one was reasonable. Overall, I would rate the stay as ok.
“Overpriced for outdated condition.”
This hotel has seen better days. The physical condition is somewhat seedy. Staff is slow with check-in.
“Paper-thin walls, but friendly staff, and a fun bar.”
My main issue with this hotel was the paper-thin walls. I barely got any sleep at this place. The beds were very comfortable (apparently they had just replaced all the mattresses), but I could hear everything above, below, and to the sides of my room. Every time someone turned on water, I could hear it moving through the pipes and every time someone used the bathroom, I could hear them doing their business. My room was on the second floor - it might be better on the third floor... The staff was very friendly and the bar was a fun place to hang out at night after visiting the park. It's about an hour away from Yellowstone, so figure gas price into your stay if you'll be traveling back and forth over multiple days. I would have rated this hotel much, much higher if the walls were thicker. Because of this, I can't recommend this hotel. It's a shame, because the staff was so nice and the hotel was clean.
“Turned me off Best Western!”
Sorry to say we did not have a good experience. Motel has seen better days. Room was musky and worn. When booked understood there was a frig & microwave in room. Neither was provided. When asked about a frig since my husband has medication that needs to be refrigerated was told that would be an extra $10 per frig or microwave. Opted to use their ice machine and a personal cooler to keep the medication refrigerated. When we checked out the receptionist on duty refused to give me a receipt. Since this had not yet been charged to my credit card, I had to almost make a scene until she would give me some kind of receipt showing me what they were charging me. When I asked if this was the policy of all Best Westerns to charge extra for frig & microwave was told this was. Last time I will stay with Best Western.
