“j'y retournerai”
“Not impressed.”
While the hotel staff (consisting of one lady who really didn't speak English) was very nice, there was a table top fan in the room and the breakfast spread was decent(even though it cost us 5 Euros, each) the hotel was quite a distance from Marseille, the hotel room was tiny, the toilet was IN the shower stall, the bed was uncomfortable, there was no A/C, the only window in the room opened up onto the exterior walkway which was open to the public, so you didn't feel comfortable leaving it open and the floor was dirty. We won't be going back.
“If every hotel in Marseilles is booked you have no choice”
This is the only place I have ever stayed when I could go to the toilet and shower at the same time, the shower head which had to be held when in use sprayed all over the shower/ toilet cubicle. Reception was a small pokey room, but the lad on duty very friendly. The linen was clean but the sheets were directly on the materss, the toilet flush was broken and could only be operated by putting your hand thro a hole in the wall.Fortunately my friend and I were only there for two nights to see our team win in the Rugby world cup so given the post match celebrations we only spent a few hours asleep each night, we both were fortunate that our wives were not with us or we would have all been sleeping in the car in preference to the hotel.
